A second fun meal idea, but not fish. Breakfast with chaar grilled steak and corn cakes (pancakes)±. Served with eggs,fruit bagels and creamcheese. Sorry no photos this time but here is the basic recipe to feed 3.

1-1/2 cups small diced leftover char grilled steakI had Porterhouse
1-1/2 cups leftover corn

Pancakes mix 1-1 /2 cups thick mix
3/4 cup flour
1 Tbsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp.salt
1 1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp. Each Season salt and black pepper
1 tbsp. Oil,butter or magazine (melted)
1egg
1/2 cup milk
1. Mix dry ingredients together
2. Mix wet ingredients together well
3. Heat corn and steak together briefly until almost hot
4. Mix wet ingredients into dry to make a fairly a stiff pancake mixture
5. Folding meat and corn. Adjust thickness with little milk or flour as necessary.

6 serve finished cakes with salsa (green or red) and sour cream.

Today's breakfast had cakes watermelon sunny side up fried eggs and onion bagels with chive cream cheese.

my latest summer effort; Chilled summer roasted red pepper soup; with crab and asparagus---Recipe;
4 fire roasted red peppers peeled and seeded
1/2 cup diced leeks and 1 cup diced onion sweated in 3 tbsp. butter
3-4 cups chix or veg broth
1/2 tsp smoked paprika and 1 tsp regular paprika
1/2 cup light cream
2-3 tbsp. flour mixed with 1/4-1/2 cup broth to make a thickener.
While leeks are sweating add chopped red pepper and cook 2-3 mins. Add broth with cream and simmer 3-4 minutes. thicken slightly with flour/broth mixture until a thick soup consistency. Puree the mixture and chill and season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with crabmeat, asparagus (and sour cream if desired)
