We have a beautiful variety of colors available, with those big, showy blooms that make Hardy Hibiscus such a fun addition to the garden. 🌺🌿

We’re officially ONE WEEK away from opening for our fall season! 🍁

The mums are growing, the fall color is coming together, and we’re busy getting everything ready to welcome you back. We’ve been working hard all summer, and we can’t wait to see everyone again!

🗓️ Opening Day: September 10th

When you visit, you’ll find:
🌸 Fall mums & seasonal color
🪴 Annuals, planters & hanging baskets
🌿 Perennials
🎁 An updated gift shop with lots to browse

🕙 Fall Hours:
Monday–Saturday: 10 AM–6 PM
Sunday: 12–5 PM

🐔 Katie’s Fair Week 🐔

Last week, Katie brought her chicken, Esther, to the Lorain County Fair, and she was pretty excited to show her! ❤️

Katie really enjoys taking care of her chickens and learning more about raising them. She spends a lot of time with her flock, and it’s been fun watching her love for animals grow.

Esther, her Speckled Sussex, earned 1st place in her class, which was a fun little highlight of the week!

If you’ve been to Hook’s, you may have even seen Katie and her chickens around the greenhouse. They’re definitely part of her everyday life here, and we love seeing her find something she’s so passionate about.

The fair may be over, but Katie is already looking forward to next year! 🎡🐔❤️

🐄🚜 Throwback Thursday — Fair Week Edition! 🚜🐄

It’s fair week, so we couldn’t resist taking a trip down memory lane to Charlie’s Cowbine Derby! 😃 🐄

This was such a fun project to build—and even more fun to take into the derby! There’s nothing quite like a little creativity, a little competition, and a whole lot of fun at the fair. 🎡

We hope everyone is having a great Lorain County Fair week! Enjoy the rides, food, animals, shows, and all the memories that make fair week so special. ❤️

🌿 Our Annual Team Family Picnic! 🌿

Each year, we look forward to stepping away from the greenhouse for a little time together with our team and their families. This year’s annual picnic was no different!

It gives us a chance to slow down, relax, enjoy some great food, and simply enjoy each other’s company while reflecting on the season we’ve shared together. 💚

The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and most importantly, we had a wonderful time together!

We’re so grateful for the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of everyone who makes each season at Hook’s Greenhouse possible. We truly appreciate our team and the time we get to spend together outside of the greenhouse.

🌿 Bringing a Little Extra Color to the Fair! 🌸

Many of the large planters we've been growing this season were created especially for Coia Sales - Wellington booth at the Lorain County Fair ! 🌿🌼

We love having the opportunity to help other local businesses create a beautiful presentation and add a little extra color to their displays. It’s one of the things we enjoy most about being part of our local community!

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Lorain County Fair week filled with great memories, and we can’t wait to see you again soon!

As we celebrate 25 years of Hook’s Greenhouse, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at where it all began!

Here’s a little glimpse of the greenhouse back when we were just getting started. So much has changed over the years, but one thing has stayed the same—our love of growing and our gratitude for the community that has supported us along the way. 💚

It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come and how many memories have been made over the past 25 years!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported our first End of Summer Gift Shop Clearout & Garage Sale! We were so excited by the response and truly appreciate everyone who stopped by, shopped, and helped make it such a success!

We’re already excited to make this an annual event! 🎉

Now that the sale is behind us, we’re turning all of our attention to fall! 🍂🌸 Our team is busy getting everything ready, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.

🗓️ We reopen for our fall season on Thursday, September 10th!
