Our slogan is three words long, and I only get to write the middle one.

Dream belongs to you. You walk in with a name, a date, a logo or a story you want to keep, and that part is yours from the start. Every custom piece we make begins with something a customer brings to us.

Create is mine. That's where laser engraving or laser cutting turns your idea into a real, finished piece you can hold. I do that part for individuals and businesses alike.

Repeat is yours again. It starts the moment you pick up the finished piece and begin picturing the next one.

So two of the three words belong to our customers. I'm glad to be the part in the middle.

Dream. Create. Repeat.

Cold stainless steel, with a logo engraved right into it. This is the kind of gift that gets used every day.

We engrave directly into the metal of a YETI tumbler, so a business logo or a person's name becomes part of the tumbler itself. It's crisp, clean, and built to last.

A tumbler that gets used is a tumbler that stays in sight. It earns a permanent spot on the desk, while most gifts end up in a drawer.

The same tumbler works for a business or for an individual. A company can engrave its logo for clients or a team, and anyone can add a name for someone they want to remember them. Autumn is here and holiday gifting season is just getting started. This is one of the simplest ways to give something that stays around.

Quote request (noun): the first step of every custom piece we make. It works exactly like asking for an estimate before a home repair. You describe the job, and you get a price for that job.

Custom work has no shelf price. Every piece is its own job, so we price it as a job, the same way a contractor prices a kitchen remodel or a roof repair. That's why we need to hear what you want before a number exists.

A contractor asks what the room is for. We ask a few basics of our own: whether you need engraving, cutting or both, what material you have in mind, and what the piece is for. Laser cutting works on a wide range of materials, for everything from signs to unique builds, so those details shape the answer.

You don't need a finished design to get started. A clear description of your idea is enough. A quote request is simply how the conversation with the maker starts.

Got an idea? Send a quote request through our website and tell us about the job.

That delicate script font looked perfect on your screen. Engraved on a keychain, it can turn into a smudge.

Holiday gift planning starts in October, so here are three choices to make before you order a personalized piece.

1. Pick the material for real use. A tumbler that goes through daily washing needs coated steel or metal, where the engraving is cut into the surface. Wood and leather darken where the laser touches, which suits coasters, ornaments and keepsakes. Glass comes out frosted, so bold shapes read best.

2. Keep the design simple. Thin script fonts and tiny text blur on small items like keychains. Stick to a name, a date or one short line, and make the lettering big enough to read at arm's length.

3. Send the sharpest file you have. A blurry screenshot becomes a blurry engraving. Send the original photo or logo file at full size. A simple, high-contrast image engraves better than a busy one.

We engrave wood, leather, stone, glass, metal and more, including tumblers, coasters, keychains and holiday ornaments. The best personalized gifts are the ones that still look sharp long after the wrapping paper is gone.

Every tumbler, ornament and keychain that leaves our Wenatchee shop carries a name most customers never ask about. Rick was A.P.'s father, Richard, and the "Jolly" part was simply how he lived.

A.P. Gerspach started Jolly Rick's LazerHaus in 2025 to honor his dad and that joyful spirit. The idea also grew out of A.P.'s travels around the world, and the name holds both: his father's joy and the creative energy behind what we make here.

Today we do laser cutting, engraving and custom art design for folks in Wenatchee, North Central Washington and the Pacific Northwest.

Making Wenatchee keepsakes matters to A.P. for a simple reason. This valley has so much local pride and so few souvenirs that are actually made here. We'd like to make more of them right here at home.

Your design is almost ready for the laser. Before you send it, spend one minute on each of these three small checks from the workshop side of the table.

1. View it at its real size.
Shrink the design on your screen or print it at the size the finished piece will be. Then step back and take a look. If there's a detail you can no longer read or make out, simplify it now.

2. Read every word out loud.
Go through each name, date and word slowly, letter by letter. A custom piece carries exactly what you send, so a careful read of the spellings pays off. This matters most on a gift.

3. Find the best original.
Track down the cleanest version of your logo or image you have. Skip the screenshot or the photo of a photo if you can. The cleaner the file, the more the maker has to work with when turning your design into the lines the laser follows.

Each check takes about a minute. Together, they mean your quote request starts from a design you already trust.

I thought picking the idea would be the trickiest piece of a personalized gift. What actually cost me time was everything I left out of my request.

When my sister was expecting her first baby, I ordered a layered heartbeat keepsake as a gift for her and her partner. Looking back, here are three things I wish I had known before I started.

1. I waited to be inspired.
My first request asked for something nice for a new baby, and I figured the design would take shape from there. It really started once I sent the personal details: the words, the date, and the image that mattered to our family. The quote request is where a custom piece begins, so that is the place to share the story.

2. I fixated on size.
I spent my energy on how big the piece should be and barely thought about the smallest parts. The meaning sat in the thin heartbeat line and the small lettering. On a sentimental gift, the finest details are what people look at first, so talk them through with the maker early.

3. I never said where it would live.
A keepsake for a nursery shelf and one for a wall are planned differently. That one detail shapes how bold or delicate the lettering can be.

The thread through all three: a piece from a custom laser engraving and cutting shop is built around one family's story. The more of it you bring at the start, the less you revise at the end.

You have seen the words laser cutting on our quote. Here is what they actually mean for the ornament or holiday piece you have in mind this season. 🎄

Laser cutting, plainly: your design becomes lines, the laser follows those lines through the material, and the piece is formed by the cut itself.

If you watched your piece being made, this is the order you would see.

First, the design. Your idea is turned into clean lines that trace every edge of the shape.

Next, the material. This is what the laser will cut through.

Then the cut. The laser travels along every line, following the design exactly.

Finally, the finished shape lifts free, fine points and small openings included.

Because the laser follows the design so precisely, it creates clean, detailed shapes. That is why delicate holiday designs like snowflakes, stars or a name in script can work as a laser cut piece. ✨

We cut across a wide range of materials, so one holiday idea can become a gift, a sign or a one of a kind build.

That is why your quote asks about both the design and the material. The cut is where your design becomes a real object, and together those two choices decide what the finished piece can be.

Have a holiday shape in mind? Send us the design idea and the material you are picturing with your quote request, and we will take it from lines to a finished piece.

Every custom piece we make starts with somebody's idea, and before it becomes something you can hold, it takes one of two paths.

The laser either marks the surface or cuts the shape. Here's who each path suits, and what each one asks of your design.

Engraving
The laser marks the surface and leaves the material whole. This path suits the person whose idea is mostly words or a mark: a name, a date, a message, or a business logo on something meant to be kept or handed over. The tradeoff is that the outline of the piece stays as it is, so your design lives inside that shape.

Cutting
The laser goes all the way through, so the shape itself becomes the design. This path suits decor, signs, and pieces that need to stand out on a wall or a table. The tradeoff is enclosed shapes. The inside of an O will fall out unless the design is planned to hold it, so lettering sometimes needs a few small changes to stay whole. It's a small adjustment, and one worth planning for early.

The quick sort: if what matters most is what it says, start from engraving. If what matters most is the shape you see from across the room, start from cutting.

Our slogan is Dream, Create, Repeat, and this fork is where the create step begins. We do both engraving and cutting, for businesses and individuals, so the path your piece takes is set by your idea. We're always happy to point you toward whichever one fits it best.
