A restored antique frame as well as a modified piexe of classic art.

Although this classic work demonstrates the killing of whales, this modified version removes the violence of this terrible practice. What remains is a whale happy in the sea, as it shoumd be.

Work is on Somerset archival velvet that is varnished and UV protected, which requires no glass. The completed piece is 27 inches wide and 17 inches tall. French blue and crusted gold leaf highlight the exquisite simplicity of this antique frame.

Any child would love viewing this art and appreciating the freedom and joy of the majestic whale.

Vanity, Frank Cadogan Cowper, 1909 on varnished Somerset velvet. She is framed in an antique compound frame in an aged museum finish.

After scoring two of these frames, one sold pretty fast. This piece I I restored to maintain the aged gold leaf surface. I must say, It was a great move.

The Mouth of the Grand Canal in Venice, looking West towards the Carità, c.1729–1730, by Canaletto, (1697–1768) in Somerset velvet has been chosen for this frame and it's accentuated with amber velvet trim.
