With less than a day before scheduled pick-up of Igiby, we realized we had a pretty big problem. The couch we had picked out fit the slide perfectly but not the doorway. It came down to quite literally being an inch too big.

By this time in the renovation, with a deadline looming, we had to take some deep breaths, walk away, and come back with a solution that didn't involve a chainsaw 😄

We carefully removed the felt underside to examine how the couch was assembled. We found about eight bolts within reach and we hoped those were it.

And they were! We were able to remove one of the arms and get it through the door!! Such relief and so thankful we didn't resort to hacking it in half lol!!

The comfiest couch we've ever installed 🩵💙 gave us an opportunity to put on those professional problem solver hats!

All of these sweet RV renovations are vacation rentals all over the nation. One is even in Mexico!

To be honest, we are totally jealous! Hoping/planning to keep one of our renovations someday soon and park it on a quiet piece of land🏕

We've gotten a lot of inquiries on this sectional!!

It is the original sectional that came with the RV! It has pull out storage on each end AND a pull out full size blow-up sleeper. So cool!

We swapped out the pillows and added a few throws to modernize and cozy it up ✨️

We just finished up revealing, KENSI MAY: 2015 Open Range Roamer, and the entire portfolio is now live on our website www.waylandventures.com/kensi-may

We fully customized this RV for our New Hampshire clients who were in need of a weekend sanctuary retreat to spend with friends and family. From our first call, we knew it needed to be light, bright, and WARM in a nurturing and soothing kind of way. We also knew it needed to have enough space for teens to lounge and for morning coffees on the couch. We added a mini fridge for extra snacks and customized all kinds of storage nooks and crannies in order to remove overpowering storage and open the space up even more.

Our clients did keep the original couch as it is actually quite comfy and functional! It has a pull-out sleeper and will comfortably sit their entire family for a movie night.

Kensi May ✨️Bathroom Transformation✨️

Favorite transformation ever! We updated all paint and hardware plus updated the existing shower doors with a molding treatment for an easy and affordable DIY upgrade!

We carried the same wallpaper through with a counter to ceiling application. This mirror was “the one” at first sight! The sink and faucet we first picked out needed some tweaking, and after a few swaps, we landed with this perfect combo.

We almost always replace the shower surround with a waterproof vinyl tile, and this reno was no exception!

✨️Kensi May Island Transformation✨️

This island wasn’t in bad shape, but it did have a funny shape. We reshaped it, added some molding, and extended the counter space for some stool seating.

The counter is finished in an epoxy resin that we lightly sanded for a matte, waterproof finish. Finding the sink was a chore but once we found it we knew! Moving the faucet to the side was a “in the moment” move, when we opted to preserve the counter space for those enjoying the stool seating. Otherwise, what was the point in adding more counter space for stools?

✨️Kensi May Fireplace Transformation✨️

This was a team effort with Chris doing most of the heavy lifting. Our clients opted to remove the stereo all together for a clean finished look. This left us with a big hole so we removed the original paneling and replaced with a fresh piece while reusing the original trim.

Next we did some priming, measuring and figuring of the TV, mantel, and fireplace placement before building in the fireplace. We couldn’t build-out the entire wall due to space and slide-out constrictions. When the slide-out is pulled in, it is nudging this wall!

While Chris worked on the floating mantel, Tiernee and our son Sterling worked on the molding design. We sketched a few designs before settling on this one!
