Ms Kay dropping in to say….. HAYYYY!

….. and also, it’s official, we are on “baby break!”

Now until October 1…. Here’s the deal:
Orders will ship a little more slowly and we will respond to emails every few days or so. We will NOT respond to calls, texts or social media messages until October 1. Hibernation and snuggle mode have arrived! Mostly…. I’m also stocking up for fall orders and common ground fair (will we see you there!?), and dyeing lots of wool.

We anticipate running at normal speed on October 1! Can’t wait to reconnect with you all then.

Wishing you endless summer blessings.

Big shifts for 2025.

Spring has been bursting with new life on the farm. Soon, new human baby will join us too!

What does this mean for MORMOR?

I’ve made the difficult decision to withdraw from Bethel Farmers Market for 2025. But I’m looking forward to seeing folks in person at Maine Fiber Frolic and Common Ground Fair! I’ll be so excited to rejoin the market and Fryeburg Fair in 2026!

We will still be busy making kits, evolving product and branding elements, and prepping your orders! Orders placed on the website will ship as usual. Wholesale friends can expect an email in the coming weeks regarding a brief pause on orders being accepted (but orders placed before the pause will ship as requested… don’t worry, there will be options to be sure we have you covered even when we are snuggled in with baby!).

Have questions? Send an email or message!

Can’t wait to see you around!

Stamped images - a new upgrade for 2025!! AND 100% recycled paper instructions!

Ultimately, the goal is to replace the plastic packaging that holds our kits together. While I love that folks can see the texture and color of the wool and ALL the kits contents, I believe this change is an important one.

We are currently researching alternatives. Compost or recycle friendly. Ideally seeking something with a stand/hang option. But also with a window that still shows off that wool!

Saying it here to keep this priority at the top of our list for the start of 2026!

Prepping and packing up for Fiber Marketplace (this Saturday 10-3 at Union Bluff Meeting House in York, ME!) and putting the finishing touches on a whole bunch of wholesale orders. So stoked to be packing up product for so many awesome locations.

Farm to Felting
You know that feeling you get when you sit down to a table filled with food grown by local farmers and lovingly cooked by local chefs? Maybe you know that feeling from shopping at the farmers market and getting those perfectly in-season strawberries while you talk to the person who actually grew them-the one who spent seasons nurturing the field and tending those little baby plants before they were mature enough to feed you.

That’s how we feel about fiber art. FARM TO FELTING is art, science, love, and community from start to finish. Learning about and practicing regenerative farming and tending land translates directly into the health of the flock which, in turn, translates into the health and strength of the fiber. It’s ALL connected and it’s ALL local—directly from farm to you.

So, yeah, we know how you feel. It’s not@about being trendy, it’s about feeling connected, AND purposeful; about feeling good about what you buy and the community you support. We’re about having fun and giving back to the earth; about building healthy soil and feeding the sheep who graze it. We’re about the future generations—storing carbon, keeping farmers relevant, making rad art that empowers, challenges and maybe brings something new to our lives.

Farm to felting is important because it all comes back to our soil, community, and ultimately, the earth and our future on it. Because of you, we get to do it. Thanks to you, we are constantly engaged in the health of our soil. Most importantly, we have the opportunity to bring joy and health to the animals we tend to and the community around us.

…. Still here!? THANK YOU! …. For reading and for being here. 🧡

Had to come back because my emails are filled with art and I just really love it when people share their creations with me.

1. “Pumpkin in the Mountains” … Inspired by art she saw at the fair with her mom.

2. In his 70s and new to fiber art! A beautiful “Back Pasture” for a first ever felter. Cheers to always trying new things.

Ok….. back to snuggling in. Unless I get more emailed art then I might be back. Maybe. 🍁

Beautiful community,

It’s time for me to sign off for a minute. Everything stays the same. I’ll be working and dyeing wool and creating kits. We’ve been pondering many things for 2025 and it’s time to focus. And prepare the homestead for winter. Snuggle kittens and kids by the fire. Drink cider. You know…. All that good stuff.

Want to connect? Email me at [email protected]
That’s where you’ll find me.
I’ll be back here January 2025.

Happy snuggle in season. I hope it’s dreamy. 🧡

Ok Fryeburg Fair…. You’re a wild ride and I think I like it! The chats with folks this week have been a blast. Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a minute (or longer!) to talk about felting, cows, Maranacook, ravens, yellow jackets, fair rides, funny Tshirts, wool, raising sheep, cool overalls, rabbits…..

This piece went home with a kind couple. Headed to Northern California! It will be neighbors (kind of) with all the people who have my heart on the West Coast. 🧡

With the help of some sweet kids at the Fryeburg Fair, this piece got a rainbow and we decided that a magical scene was the way to go. But this is where this one will end. She went home with someone and I’m thrilled but also curious what it would have looked like with some fairies and a dragon….

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by these past two days. It’s a blast to chat with you!

Earlier this week I dropped off fleece at . Excited to see it again in a few short weeks!

It’s a joy to chat with Janet and catch a glimpse of her farm life. Each time I step foot on another farm or watch other makers create I feel a wave of excitement to understand or try something I haven’t done before. Feeling inspired and ready for this slowly down season so I can experience that potential.

Pictured: Timmy. The one who will break down a door to get in the barn. He who loves hay. Isn’t afraid to steal food from the cow. Has beautiful fleece. Loves love.
