Kids’ rooms can be tricky to design. You want them to feel thoughtful, custom, and high quality, while knowing how quickly children grow and how often their needs and tastes change.

For this room, we chose a daybed that works equally well for sleeping, reading, and hanging out, then added custom millwork designed to evolve with the space. With a fresh coat of paint and a few updated accessories, the room can easily transition into the teenage years without starting over.

A chair doesn’t have to be upholstered in just one fabric.

One of my favorite ways to create a custom piece is by combining multiple textiles on the same chair; a patterned seat with a textured back, a contrasting welt, or a solid paired with a subtle print. Here are a few from some of our client projects.

It’s a detail that adds depth, personality, and just the right amount of interest without overwhelming the room.

For our repeat client, our goal was to create a bedroom that felt comfortable and cozy while adding the architectural character the room was missing. We added custom wall moulding throughout and drenched the space in a deep green to instantly bring warmth and depth to the room.

From there, we kept the client’s existing furniture with its rich wood tones, added new hardware, vintage inspired lighting, and collected pieces like the 1920s resonator guitar inherited from his father to give the room a grounded, masculine feel with a sense of history behind it.

The end result feels timeless, comfortable, and lived in in the best possible way.

About one year ago today, my powder room design for Wildfair was revealed to the public.

From concept to completion, this project was about more than just the space, it was about purpose. Wildfair 2025 supported the new Proton Therapy Center at Morristown Medical Center, helping expand access to cutting-edge cancer treatment for patients and families for years to come.

Grateful to have been part of something with impact beyond its walls.

One room, multiple ways to live.

We designed this large living room space in zones, balancing a primary lounge area with more intimate seating moments, including space to play a family game. The space creates flexibility without sacrificing cohesion.
