Our final room reveal of our Essex Fells project. The request for this room was clear: make it beautiful, but make it comfortable first and above all else.

That priority shaped this family room where three kids ranging from their teens to early twenties, three small dogs and two busy parents needed a space that could keep up with real life.

Our clients wanted color in a calming way, so we layered soft blue with warm neutrals, muted greens, natural stone and organic textures. The result feels personal and inviting while still feeling light, elevated and intentional.

The generous, sink-in sectional gives everyone a place to land, while a cozy swivel chair became Mom’s spot to curl up and relax. Tucked into the corner, a sculptural table creates a lovely little place to open her laptop.

Every piece serves a purpose, but nothing feels overly decorated or precious. Because a beautiful room should also be one everyone wants to live in.

Light. Organic. Cozy. Intentional. And above all else, comfortable.

The brief for this girl’s room from our Essex Fells project was very clear: pinks, greens, florals and preppy. The trick was giving her all of it without making the room feel overly sweet.

We grounded the room with a classic Thibaut green striped wallpaper, then layered in personality through the colorful carpet, pillows and sculptural pink bedside lamps.

To balance the more playful elements, we kept the furniture in soft ivory tones, adding depth through grasscloth finishes.

The final result feels polished, charming and just the right amount of preppy. We only wish our childhood bedrooms had looked this dreamy.

Boys’ bedrooms can be tricky. You want them to feel considered and cool, without becoming overly sophisticated or too grown up.

For this room from our Essex Fells project, we worked with a muted palette of greens and warm wood tones, then gave the walls more dimension with a two-tone paint treatment.

The reveal is a room that feels clean, grounded and current, while still relaxed and youthful. Just enough personality to make it feel special, without trying too hard.

This little laundry room from our Essex Fells project didn’t need much, just a dusting of personality. We added beautiful wallpaper from York Wallcoverings to bring in color and pattern, turning a basic, all-white room into a space where you don’t mind throwing in a load of laundry.

Now we’re just waiting for the buzzer to let us know it’s done.

Our next room reveal at our Essex Fells project is the primary bedroom, where masculine and feminine, structure and softness come together in a calm, layered retreat.

The tiled wallpaper brings subtle depth, with a finish that recalls the movement of hand-applied plaster. Shagreen-covered nightstands and iron details add structure, while alabaster, glass and soft textiles bring warmth and softness. The symmetry feels balanced without being too formal, and the cloud-like rug grounds the room without weighing it down.

We layered the bed with pillows and blankets for extra coziness, then finished the room with an amber glass chandelier that adds just the right amount of quiet drama. What detail is your favorite?

Different materials, different energies, one very cohesive room. We absolutely love how it turned out.

Room reveal #2 of our Essex Fells project.

Not your little girl’s bedroom anymore. When your daughter heads off to college, her room at home can grow up right along with her.

A sophisticated botanical wallpaper set the tone for this space, with soft blues and greens layered throughout. The brass canopy bed feels clean and elegant, while a painted raffia nightstand, green ceramic lamp and blue velvet chair bring in color, texture and just enough personality without feeling too serious.

It’s playful, colorful and still very much her, just a little more sophisticated for this next chapter.

The first room reveal from our full-home interior design project in Essex Fells!

Sitting directly off the foyer, this room needed to make an immediate impression and set the tone for everything that follows.

We wanted it to feel sophisticated, but never stuffy. Curated, but not overly designed. And despite its more formal location in the home, it still needed to feel cozy and inviting.

Sculptural shapes, natural materials, muted colors and beautiful architectural details come together with pieces that feel collected rather than matched, creating a room that’s as comfortable as it is beautiful.

Sophisticated. Cozy. Curated. Organic. A fitting introduction to the rest of this home.
