Why am I running through the backyard, in the rain, pre-dawn? To see if the kiln is cool enough to unload! Growing up Jewish, I never experienced the manic crazy excitement of Christmas morning. But opening a kiln after a glaze firing feels like that level of excitement, even after so many decades. Plus, I get to do it all year long and not just December 25th.

This is a random stack of components to be used in future totems. A client requested certain colors I don’t normally have… But I’m happy to report that they play well with others!

One of my lovely customers, a master gardener, was part of a garden tour last weekend...the kind you pay to attend, see other people's gorgeous gardens, and come home inspired to buy more plants. A visitor on the tour recognized my work and was kind enough to send me this photo. I have to admit it looks magical out in nature. ( much nicer than in my dusty studio, on display!)

This 36” totem is now happily installed in a beautiful West Chester garden. It’s easy to move if its happy owner ever wants to but it’s fine to stay outside all year round. I make them in 3 sizes, a new batch is underway with some very interesting components in the works.

I’m always looking for ways to save money on shipping costs. Packing 5 pillows in a vacuum sealed bag left enough room to fill the box with the rest of their order. A win/win!

5 “ stalks” affixed in a porcelain bowl hold a variety of blooms. The wrought iron base elevates it it literally and artistically. I wanted to make more but only had time for one good one.
