Some news we're glad to share: Boyle's will be recognized in the 2026 "Best Of" House & Home issue in two categories, Flooring and Window Treatments. The issue mails in November.

Two categories means a lot to us. Floors and windows have been under one roof at Boyle's since 1951, and plenty of our customers come back for the shades after the floors, or the floors after the shutters.

Thank you to every family who has trusted us with their home. If you're planning a project, call (610) 429-9773 or book a free in-home visit.

Heating season is almost here, and every winter we hear the same question: why are there gaps between my floorboards?

Usually it's nothing to worry about. Solid hardwood takes on moisture during our humid Delaware Valley summers and gives it back once the furnace dries out the air. The boards shrink a little, thin gaps appear, and most close up again by late spring.

What helps: steady indoor humidity through the winter, and a floor that was acclimated before it went down.

Not sure what you're seeing? Send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly whether it's seasonal, or call (610) 429-9773.

A floor that looks right under showroom lights can look different at home. Your windows, your cabinets, and your wall color all change it.

That's why a Boyle's design rep brings the samples to you. We set them down in the actual room, measure, and leave you with an itemized quote, plus our honest take on what we'd choose if it were our home. The same rep stays with you from start to finish.

Boyle's own fall offer: 5% off, up to $500, on projects that close by October 31, 2026.*

Call (610) 429-9773 to book a free in-home visit.

*Shaw products excluded. 50% deposit at time of order.

For the people who run senior living communities: the floor does more work than almost anything else in the building.

Corridors need carpet tile that hides daily traffic and lets you replace one stained square instead of a whole hallway. Activity and fitness rooms need wood-look luxury vinyl that wipes clean and still feels like home. Dining rooms need a pattern that forgives the everyday.

Boyle's installs all of it for Brandywine Senior Living, Welltower, Brightview, and Arbor Terrace communities, with one Boyle's contact from the first walkthrough to the last seam.

Blue subway tile, a built-in bench, and a small hex floor. One of our favorite finished bathrooms, and a good lesson in how tile choices work together.

The bench turns a shower into a place to sit and slow down. Small hex tile on the floor means more grout lines, and more grout lines mean better footing when it's wet. And a strong color like this blue is easiest to commit to once you've seen the sample in your own bathroom light.

Planning a bathroom? Send us a photo of the room as it is today and we'll talk through what's possible, or call (610) 429-9773.

The floor under that dull finish is almost certainly fine.

Most of the hardwood we're asked to replace in Chester County homes doesn't need replacing. It needs sanding, a fresh coat or two of finish, and a few days without furniture. Same wood, same character, looks new.

Fall is the season to do it, before the holidays fill the house. Book by October 31 and our 5% off, up to $500, applies to the job.

Send us a photo of the worn spot and we'll tell you honestly whether it can be refinished. Call (610) 429-9773.
