She’s a classic Allyson! (So happy to hear that she arrived safely).

Our Lexington Link Taylor king mahogany “rice” bed really honors the heritage of traditional furniture design, a piece you’ll treasure for a lifetime no doubt!

And a special thanks to a team of dear friends for showing up yesterday to help Grant and me break this bed down and load it properly to ensure a safe journey to Florence! Thank you Chad Reich for bringing the tools, Clara Taylor and Ken Lannigan for all your help with disassembling and loading this beautiful bed with such care - LOVE you guys!!!

Helen Cannon, it was so nice to finally meet you and Leroy! And it was equally nice to help you settle your dilemma over the dining room table. Sometimes it happens that you’re looking for just one particular piece. In this case, a dining table for your existing chairs.

This beautifully crafted Chippendale Revival dining table was just the thing BUT what happens when you don't need the chairs???

Well, we consigned the existing chairs so that you now have a complete and coordinated dining suite. And that was that!

We’re so happy to have made your day Helen! Thank you for shopping small.

Enjoy this gorgeous dining table and chairs!

This one's for our mid-century mavens!!

Sam Moore Retro Style Swivel Lounge Chair and Ottoman

We’re obsessed with this retro style swivel chair and ottoman by Sam Moore. The lounge chair leans geometric emphasizing a sleek straight-line design offering a smooth 360 degree swivel! And it’s perfectly paired with the contrasting “roundish” octagonal pouf-styled ottoman trimmed in large brass-tone nail heads. And though a darker tone, the chenille-like upholstery is quintessential mid-century aqua. These pieces were crafted with quality and durability in mind – no doubt - as they are substantial in scale and weight. Arriving without her original back cushion, we improvised with a couple of throw pillows that work perfectly! Our research dates this pair to the 1980-1990s.

Overall, the chair and ottoman are clean and in good preowned condition, showing some color loss on the arms. She’s ready for a new space or new upholstery. Either way, if you’re a lover of mid-century design, you won’t be disappointed with this pair!

Dimensions: 37w x 30d x 32.5h | Seat Depth: 18" Seat Height: 20"

American Country Federal Style Sideboard (c. 1800 - 1830)

Based on our extensive research of this beautiful piece, it appears that we have an American Country Federal bowfront sideboard built with a gorgeous mahogany veneer face and native poplar/pine interiors.

A beautiful piece of early American history this piece features two bow front drawers with brass locks accented with traditional circular stamped ring pulls and a brass gallery. (The silvertone stamped pulls likely replaced the original brass at some point). The drawers display hand-cut dovetails on the front of the drawers with notched corners on the backs - a definitive sign of its country origins. This piece is a rich golden brown with beautiful grain. Rests on tapered legs and spade feet.

The overall condition is very good with imperfections consistent with its age and use. Please see the photos for more details.

Dimensions: 60"w x 25"d x 37"h to the top of the cabinet.
(The brass gallery adds an additional 8" of height).
