Hi friends. I recently took a little break from social media. After he fought a courageous battle with cancer, I lost my big brother Mike a few weeks ago. My husband and I had returned home from our 30th anniversary trip and I was so excited to share the pictures with you. But not long after we got back, my brother took a turn for the worse. It was hard for me to post anything, let alone with excitement - I had to muster up some faux enthusiasm. I had had a friend and then a former client ask when I would post more pictures from our trip - they were so excited to see more. I’ll be honest, I forget that people see my posts and didn’t think anyone would notice my inconsistency. So I took a little break. Last week was my first full week back at work. It feels good to go back to “normal” though normal will never feel the same again…
Fun story, in 2022, I had just moved into my new design studio in the Northern Lights building. One day I heard a knock on my interior door - strange because my exterior door is where clients enter. I opened the door and it was my big brother! He was in town for some work meetings and decided to surprise me. I played hooky for a few hours and we enjoyed a long lunch and later that evening he joined my family for dinner. The picture attached is from our lunch that day. ❤️
I’m going to continue sharing on days when I feel up to it. I have more trip pictures to share and project pictures to share. I have several work events coming up and look forward to seeing work colleagues. I do thank all of you who follow this page, read my posts and support my business. I appreciate it more than you know. See you soon… 🤗❤️

Hello design friends. 🤗 I’m going to take a little social media break. I’ll be back at a later date and share more pictures from our trip to Europe (the best is yet to come!) as well as architectural details and furnishings from the ship. I have some fun projects I’m working on too. See you 🔜!

I’ve shared before how much I love and admire Jessica Wachter’s work. She is also such a lovely person. 😊 The piece she created for the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is INCREDIBLE. Check out her website for how this artwork came to be - a piece that will inspire visitors for decades to come. 🤎🩵

My husband and I went to Europe for the first time to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary last month. We went on a Viking cruise - the Iconic Western Mediterranean. I’ve shared pictures from Italy and Cannes France (see previous posts!). Tonight I’m going to share the oldest city in France - Marseille! The USA just celebrated 250 years. Marseille is 2,626 years old! 😳 The buildings and churches were breathtaking. The shops were charming. And the statues… interesting. 😆 We ended up spending 2 days in Marseille, France. Enjoy the pictures! 🇫🇷

Tuesday Transformation! In 2019, I had the pleasure of working on the interior renovation of Reuter Family Dentistry in Perham, MN. Recently, they were ready for an exterior makeover when they added on to the clinic. We had to keep the stone as well as the windows, window trim and front door but we could paint them and paint the stucco and change shingles and soffit/fascia/downspouts. What a difference shingles and some paint can make!! We love our friends at Reuter Family Dentistry. 🥰 Do YOU need assistance selecting paint? I’d love to help you! 🤗

Let’s start the week with some pictures from Cannes, France! 🇫🇷 This was the actual day of our 30th wedding anniversary on our 30th anniversary trip. What an incredible way to celebrate! 🥰 Cannes was beautiful. There were yachts and expensive shops EVERYWHERE. The buildings were very artistic with bright colors, murals and Trompe L’oeil (fool the eye). Our guide told us the buildings must adhere to certain color schemes with the main part of the buildings being certain colors and if there were shutters, they had to be in the pink/salmon; blue or green color ways. Picasso spent his latter and prolific years in Cannes. His artistic footprint along the French Riviera is still evident today. Enjoy the pictures!
