Vetro Vero translates from Italian to mean "true glass," which speaks to authenticity and integrity in materials, design, and craftsmanship; values for which the brand has gained worldwide recognition. Founded in 2011 by designers Michael Schunke and Josie Gluck, Vetro Vero's award-winning hand-blown glass designs are simultaneously timeless and contemporary objects created to honor function and enrich decor. Drawing on experience and unsurpassed skill to refine the highest quality glass-making materials, Vetro Vero designs are noted for their remarkable clarity, spectacular colors, and clean forms. Each hand-blown glass object is individually made by Michael and Josie, through practicing the values that brought us together: honest work, pure materials, fresh designs, and respect for the skilled glassmaking tradition in which they were both trained.

Our Color Wheels are luminous sculptural statements that foster collaboration between the artist and the viewer. Brilliantly colored centers create the focal point of each piece and are stunning on their own, but the translucent glass allows you to explore color theory even further as you pair different shades together, adding more depth to your color palette.

A beautiful collection of Vetro Vero sculptures in one of our customer’s homes 😍 These are our Smoky Serif Flasks in the colors Mist, Tea, and Aubergine.

A flourish of contrasting color along the side adds eye-catching asymmetry to each flattened flask, while the foot shimmers with a touch of 24k gold leaf.

We’re so excited to welcome so many new people to our community lately. If we haven’t met yet, we are designers and glassmakers Michael Schunke and Josie Gluck, and Vetro Vero is our collaborative vision that we launched in 2011.

Vetro Vero is Italian for "true glass," which speaks to authenticity and integrity in materials, design, and craftsmanship. All of our vessels are individually handblown, shaped, and finished by the two of us!

Together, we have over 50 years of experience that we bring to designing our vessel collections, statement pieces, and even custom, one-of-a-kind art to complement your vision.
