🍁🍂 Fall is finally on its way! We’ve had a brutally hot and humid summer but an amazing back to school season! Reward yourself with an art class, you earned it! This fall season we are offering a wide variety of classes for all skill levels, including drawing, painting, acrylic pouring, and more! Some of these classes provide supplies, and any that do not have a supply list that can be found on our website at

You can sign up for any of these classes online, in store, or over the phone! You can also buy the supplies when you sign up and we will hold them for you if you want to pick them up the day of the class :)

All October classes are on Saturdays.

✨FREE EVENT✨ Join us in store between 1-3 PM to try POSCA markers on a variety of surfaces! POSCA markers are extremly versatile, and are available in a ton of sizes, colors, and finishes like metallic, glitter and neon.

These markers are SO popular and are a customer favorite! We welcome you to stop in and have some fun trying them out for yourself! We will have a large communal canvas for all to work on collectively, but also smaller canvases, fake mini pumpkins, various papers, and even the windows on our store front!

This is a Fall/Halloween themed event- so feel free to bring your own pumpkin gourd, or surface of your liking to use the markers on if you so choose! Stencils will be provided to guide those who may be struck getting started! All ages welcome! ~PLUS~ we will have FREE raffles and giveaways during the event. Mark your calendar, we will see you there!

On this day in art history, Man Ray was born August 27 1890 as Emmanuel Radnitzky, and remains well known for images commonly called photograms but which he dubbed “rayographs” in a punning combination of his own name and the word “photograph.”

In 1922, six months after he arrived in Paris from New York, Man Ray made his first rayographs. To make them, he placed objects, materials, and sometimes parts of his own or a model’s body onto a sheet of photosensitized paper and exposed them to light, creating negative images.

Shaped by the trauma of World War I and the emergence of a modern media culture—epitomized by advancements in communication technologies like radio and cinema—Dada artists shared a profound disillusionment with traditional modes of art making and often turned instead to experimentations with chance and spontaneity.

Man Ray’s experiments with photography carried him to the center of the emergent Surrealist movement in Paris. Led by André Breton, Surrealism sought to reveal the uncanny coursing beneath familiar appearances in daily life. Man Ray proved well suited to this in works like Anatomies, in which, through framing and angled light, he transformed a woman’s neck into an unfamiliar, ph***ic form.

Man Ray embraced the possibilities for irrational combinations and chance arrangements of objects, emphasizing the abstraction of images made in this way.

🌞✨Art for mindfulness is back!✨🌞
Join Amy from Studio13.ct for this unique workshop that combines sound healing and neurographic art.

We start our time together with a guided meditation, featuring sun and wind gongs and singing bowls. As the darker months approach, we will awaken the fiery energy of the sun, highlighting what brings us passion and joy!

We work through the neurographic art process together, getting lost in line, shape, and color. Ink pens and watercolor paints bring our trees and intentions to life 😌🍃
