Hello beautiful cleints!

I hope you're all enjoying the Summer of 2026. How did August arrive so quickly?

With all the heat and rain we've had, have you found it challenging to keep up with the weeding and keep your outdoor spaces looking as fresh as your seasonal home décor? Or are you already transitioning to fall with blooming sedum, cheerful marigolds, zinnias, and little touches of orange throughout your garden?

This year, I've had the pleasure of helping clients beautify both their outdoor living spaces and their home's interiors. It's always rewarding to create spaces that reflect the season and bring joy every time you walk through the door. I also have been very busy working on additional therapy offices and spaces, and staging homes for sale.
These jobs have been both rewarding and fun to create!

One of the easiest updates is simply changing your accessories. Swapping in lighter rugs, colorful pillows, and soft throws can instantly brighten a room and bring in the feeling of summer while still working beautifully with your existing furniture.
The good news is that color and pattern are back!
Don't feel intimidated about mixing them into your home. If you're just getting started, choose colors that complement each other and pair larger-scale patterns with smaller ones that share a similar color palette or mood. It's an easy way to add personality without overwhelming a space.

One trend I'm seeing is that many clients are ready to move beyond the all-gray palettes that have been popular for so long. They're embracing color again! Beautiful blues, nature-inspired greens, warm oranges and terracottas, and even rich aubergine tones pair wonderfully with gray and add warmth, personality, and timeless style.

Every home tells a story, and this one was especially memorable. Staging this beautiful occupied home, surrounded by breathtaking grounds, was a unique opportunity. The interior had a distinctly European feel-warm, elegant and beautiful. My goal was simply to highlight what was already there, yet help buyers fall in love it's character.

As we welcome the month of June, our focus naturally shifts to both the outside and inside of our homes!

I love bringing the outdoors in—whether through colorful window boxes, hanging plants, fresh flowers, or simply brightening interiors to reflect the beauty of the season outside.

How do you lighten up your rooms for summer? Consider swapping in lighter fabrics, fresh pillows, and cheerful pops of color that complement the season. Even small changes can make a space feel brighter, lighter, and more inviting.

Welcoming the beautiful month of May after such a long winter feels especially refreshing this year. Everywhere you look, there are signs of renewal — fresh green 🍃leaves unfolding, flowering trees beginning to bloom, 🌸 and gardens slowly coming back to life. It’s a wonderful reminder of how much our surroundings can affect the way we feel.

Spring has already been wonderfully busy at The Spirited Design, with occupied home stagings for sale, bathroom renovations, therapy office updates, and lots of fun decorating projects filled with fresh colors, fabrics, and new energy. There is something so rewarding about helping clients reimagine their spaces and bring warmth, comfort, and personality back into their homes and work environments.

One thing I’ve been hearing often lately is concern from homeowners who feel “stuck” with homes filled with cool grays — from wall colors to furnishings — as warmer tones begin making a strong return in design trends.
The good news is that you do not need to start over. A home layered in gray can absolutely be softened and updated beautifully by thoughtfully incorporating warmer neutrals, sage greens, textured fabrics, wood tones, and other earthy accents.
The key is creating balance and warmth in a way that feels natural and inviting rather than forcing a complete transformation all at once.

Whether you are preparing your home for sale, refreshing a single room, updating an office, or simply trying to fall back in love with your space again, thoughtful changes can make a remarkable difference.🍃
