Branding the trees.

Making the lighted Wood Christmas Tree: We start with a 1x3x8 pine board. We cut 8 pieces to build one tree. Next, all the pieces are sanded and wiped clean. Then they're placed in the tree jig to check for proper fit and alignment. Unlike the building of our basic tree, on the lighted tree, each side is completed first, then removed from the jig and nails are fixed into place for the light string. Next, working upward from the base, the tiers are glued and nailed together, making the tree rigid. The completed tree is then removed from the jig, and the trunk is glued and then nailed to the tree base. The trunk is then branded with the 'Maggie's Christmas Crafts' logo. The trees are then painted or stained. Finally, the mini lights are wired to the inside of the tree.
