Ariana Rugs Inc. | Los Angeles Since 1990, we have worked hard to build Ariana Rugs Inc. into an empowering company best known for our innovative techniques, design and finishing. in 1986.

For generations the Ahmadi family has been in the business of making fine rugs. Alex, Ahmad, and Nadia Ahmadi were born into an established family of rug artisans in Afghanistan where they learned the craft as part of their livelihood and tradition. In 1980, after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Ahmadi family fled to Europe and migrated to the U.S. Ariana Rugs Inc. was founded in 1990 and

established in Los Angeles, California. Ariana rugs are characterized by a modern-antique style and are recognized for their high quality, which comes from locally sourced wool, a protected dyeing process, and beautiful designs. With over 30 years of experience with Western designers and born into generations of traditional Afghan weaving, the company has gained broad recognition in the U.S. and European markets, including the Domotex Traditional Design Award for 2012. The collections span from classic antique revivals to contemporary masterpieces, and unmatchable in quality, design, and finish. It maintains showrooms in Los Angeles, California and Hamburg, Germany and sells globally to high-end retailers and direct to consumers. is now the first Afghan rug manufacturer to be GoodWeave certified, ensuring child-labor free rugs (http://www.goodweave.org/news_detail.php?news_id=526)
