Every morning, we all wake up with a certain number of spoons.
A neurotypical person might use one spoon to tidy their house.
Someone with ADHD?
They may burn through six spoons on that same task because they’re also battling:
🥄 Executive dysfunction
🥄 Distractibility
🥄 Decision fatigue
🥄 Time blindness
🥄 Emotional regulation
With ADHD, you never really know how many spoons you’ll have that day or how fast you’ll burn through them and that is when the house gets brushed off for tomorrow.
Before you know it, the chores that used to be “small” now feel like a mountain.
This is where systems save you.
✨ You use fewer spoons to make decisions
✨ You avoid the overwhelm spiral
✨ You stop losing time looking for things
✨ You eliminate constant “Where does this go?”
✨ Your brain feels SAFE because rules stay the same.
Some days you won’t have the spoons to do anything and that’s okay.
But on the days you do?
It doesn’t feel as terrifying.
