Fluted plaster, or structured plaster, is a combination of material, structure and craftsmanship.
In this video, Co-Founder Mauro Marzano explains how the system is built, how it needs to adapt to American construction methods and why the quality of the final result depends on understanding both the material and what sits behind it.

Some of the most successful pieces are the ones that balance opposites.

The Chloe chair by combines softness and structure, comfort and lightness, solid volumes and open space. Inspired by the expressive forms of mid-century design, its sculptural silhouette is defined by slender metal supports and a welcoming upholstered seat that feels as comfortable as it looks.

A beautiful example of how Italian design can transform a functional object into a piece with character, craftsmanship and presence.

A lot of people know us for plaster. And over the years, handcrafted lime plaster has become synonymous with La Fucina — a craft rooted in Italian tradition, taught in Italy, and brought to projects across the U.S.

One of the strongest themes we saw at Salone del Mobile 2026 was the evolution of doors, partitions and boiserie from functional elements into architectural systems.
With innovations such as the Syncrosystem multi-leaf pivot doors, Versa large-format sliding systems and the new Sofi leather collection, Barausse continues to expand the possibilities available to architects, interior designers and luxury home builders.

For professionals working on high-end residential projects, these systems offer greater freedom to shape privacy, movement, light and material continuity throughout the home.
A remarkable presentation from the Barausse team and designer Massimo Castagna, showcasing how interior architecture is becoming increasingly fluid, integrated and adaptive.

One of the things that makes Italian design unique is the way it approaches materials.

Glass, stone, metal and wood are never treated as simple components. They become part of the story, carrying the knowledge, craftsmanship and traditions behind them.

The Haiku collection from Baxter is a beautiful example of this philosophy! Each lamp is handcrafted from mouth-blown Murano glass, making every piece slightly different from the next. The variations, reflections and imperfections are not flaws to be corrected, but part of what gives the material its character.

For the La Quinta project, pieces like these help bring a level of authenticity, depth and craftsmanship that can only come from generations of material expertise.

Projects like Terra Luna take shape through the strength of every collaboration.

AMB | Anne-Marie Barton brings an exceptional design sensibility and a deep knowledge of Italian brands, translating their materials, craftsmanship and character into interiors that feel sophisticated, livable and deeply connected to the American lifestyle.

Greg Young and Greg Young bring the construction expertise required to transform ambitious architectural ideas into a residence of exceptional quality.

OBICUA Architecture&Interiors brings an Italian sense of proportion, elegance and spatial design, shaped around the way people live in American homes.

Angelo Gulioso connects these worlds through Italian brand sourcing, custom finishes, craftsmanship, procurement, logistics and installation coordination.

Brands like: Henge, Barausse, Rimadesio, Salvatori, Gessi, Fantini, Molteni&C and Minotti become part of the project through a process built on relationships, technical knowledge and ex*****on.
This is where Italian design becomes part of a real home.
