Got a little grinder kiss yesterday...

I was tired, rushing to finish a Father's Day gift, and decided I didn't need my shirt or leather apron for "just a couple more minutes."

The grinder disagreed.

Luckily, this one only cost me some skin.

Doesn't matter if you've been doing this for a year or 30 years—fatigue and rushing are a dangerous combination.

Wear the gear. Take your time. Get home safe.

This BBQ set had to be finished in time for Father's Day.

A young daughter wanted to give her dad a hand-forged Father's Day gift, but her mom had to wait until payday to place the order.

Tonight it's forged, polished, sealed, and ready to head to Dad.

We're at the Gresham Historic Museum today, and I'll be forging steel, answering questions, and showing how some of my railroad spike creations are made.
