This piece was specially designed and built to fit the home perfectly. It could not pass through the door as one single piece, so I engineered it as a foldable structure and completed part of the installation on site.

Every detail was measured, adjusted, and assembled with precision and care.

This piece bears the 1897 New York signature of William Baumgarten,
a pivotal figure in the early development of pictorial tapestry in America.

What first drew me in was her gaze —
quiet, sincere, almost alive.
As if she wasn’t looking at the room,
but into it.

To honor that feeling, I didn’t simply frame the work.
I created a window, using an antique Caucasian kilim,
transforming the piece into a passage between centuries.

I call her:
“The Girl at the Window.” 🪟✨
