Happy Sunday, My Crafty Peeps!π§Ά
I have been wanting to learn how to crochet the broomstick lace stitch for a long time. I think it's so unique-looking and pretty!π While nesting this past fall, I bought the yarn and knitting needle so I could follow a tutorial I had saved a way long time ago (probably 2-3 years ago). It was on my "would be nice" to do before baby list and with weeks left before my due date and other things on my mind and task list (and anyway I was prioritizing baby crochet projects around that time), I decided to put it in a bag in my closet and pull it out after baby sometime, for "me" time and a "me" project. I finally did it this past week (just shy of 4 months postpartum)!π I worked on a row or two throughout the week in the evenings after my son was asleep or my husband took over care responsibilities. I'm loving how it looks so far and it hasn't taken long to get my tension rather consistent and for the most part where I want it to be with each stitch. I used to think, when looking at this stitch, how the heck can a stitch come out like that from using just a crochet hook? Well, now I know the deal. Who would have thought this huge, thick knitting needle would be used for this purpose? Lol
