William and Mary pieces will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Originating in the late 1600s to early 1700s during the reign of King William III and Queen Mary II, these pieces marked a shift from heavy medieval styles to furniture that felt lighter, more refined, and decorative.

You’ll often notice turned legs, dramatic curves, rich woods like walnut, and intricate details such as ball feet, spiral stretchers, and beautiful veneer work. Highboys, gate-leg tables, and tall chests became especially popular during this period.

What makes William and Mary furniture so beloved today is its ability to feel both stately and warm; historic without being overly formal. Each piece carries a sense of early American and English craftsmanship that still feels timeless centuries later.
