A "standard" front door isn't as standard as it sounds.

Most entry doors land around 36 inches wide by 80 inches tall, but sizing can range anywhere from 30 to 45 inches wide and 71 to 96 inches tall. If your opening doesn't match the "usual" numbers, it's not a problem. It just means the measuring matters more than the assumption.

Dennis O'Rourke spent over 35 years building a successful career at Pella Greenfield before retiring a few years ago, but he never stopped showing up for his community. As a true friend to our branch, Dennis recently led a shoe collection drive that ran from April 15 to June 15 (though generous donations kept coming in all the way until pickup day!).

The results? An incredible 2,475 pairs of shoes donated, all benefiting the Tilton Library in South Deerfield, MA, as part of their exciting expansion project.

Our branch was proud to play a small part by serving as a hub for the campaign, providing space for volunteers to sort, bag, and store donations, and pitching in with some shoes of our own.

Thank you, Dennis, for showing us what retirement can look like when you lead with generosity. And to everyone who donated: you helped make a real difference for the Tilton Library and the South Deerfield community!
