The Red Shutters-Marina Case

Last week we spent time choosing tile and walking through the plumbing selections for our Ringwood project. Seeing products like faucets, shower heads and holding the fixtures in your hand with our team helps support you through the decision process. It’s one of the reasons site and showroom visits are built into the way we work.

Every project is a lot of small choices that add up to a home that ultimately functions well and looks beautiful. We love shepherding you through this part of the process, and we can’t wait to share more of this project as it comes together.

Some trips are about checking things off a list. This one is about discovering the island together.

Four days on Martha's Vineyard with a small group of women, hands busy and conversation flowing. Whether we're wandering through town, learning something new, or lingering over dinner, the best moments tend to happen when no one is rushing.

Our November dates are fixed and spots are limited. Comment "RETREAT" and we'll send you the details.

Welcome to Churchtown Dairy, as featured in The Cottage Journal.

This farmhouse in Hudson, New York, is one of our favorite examples of what happens when history and design come together. We wove the Williamsburg Brand throughout the home, bringing 18th century inspiration into a space built for real, everyday living.

From reproduction china and historically accurate paint colors to furniture and textiles drawn from Colonial Williamsburg's own archives, every detail was chosen to honor that legacy while still feeling warm, lived in, and current.

It's a project that captures exactly what we love about this brand partnership. Timeless design rooted in history, made for the way people actually live today.

If you're dreaming up a project with this kind of depth, we'd love to help. Comment ‘PROJECT’ and we’ll send you the link to schedule a discovery call.

Museum restoration work is a different kind of project. Every choice has to hold up to research, not just taste.

Over several years, we had the honor of restoring various rooms at the Historic Governor's Mansion, each representing a distinct historical period. That meant researching the history, working hand in hand with museum staff, and sourcing or recreating everything from wallpaper to window treatments to furniture.

This is the kind of work we love most. Where design meets history, and every detail has to be right, not just beautiful.

Thank you to the team at the Historic Governor's Mansion for trusting us with such meaningful spaces.

There's a reason some rooms make you want to sit down and stay awhile. It usually comes down to how every piece relates to the room and to each other.

Scale is one of the first things we think about on every project, before finishes, before fabric. Get it right, and everything that comes after falls into place more easily.

If you're dreaming up a space of your own, we'd love to help. Comment PROJECT and we'll send you the link to schedule a discovery call.

Good design should be durable. It should hold up to real life, actual daily use, kids and pets and dinner parties. And it should be able to evolve as your life does, because the moment a house stops changing with you is the moment it stops feeling like yours.

That's the difference between a house that looks good and a house that stays alive.

Fall on Martha's Vineyard has a way of making the case for itself.

Quieter streets, salt air, pumpkins stacked outside every farm stand, and a pace that feels almost impossible to find the rest of the year. We built the Red Shutters Retreat around exactly this feeling. Four days with a simple agenda, just good company and a whole island to ourselves.

Some of the best moments come from the women who show up not knowing quite what to expect, and leave with a few new best friends.

Comment "RETREAT" and we'll send you the details.

Just a handful of spots left for the retreat.

Picture this. A welcome dinner at our island home, an early morning sunrise walk to the Edgartown Lighthouse, a sunset picnic on Menemsha beach on the North Shore, exploring the cliffs at Aquinnah, a Mahjong lesson, learning needlepoint at Erica Wilson, beach walks, a barn dance and more!

If you've been going back and forth on this, take it as your sign.

Every design choice has a story, and this one starts in Ireland.

This client was born and raised there, and that blue and green palette has been with them their whole life. We wanted this dining room to capture that feeling from the very first spark of inspiration. The trellis wallpaper, the jewel toned velvet chairs, the layers of blue and white chinoiserie throughout the space, it all traces back to a color story that’s been part of who they are since childhood.

We even had the chance to travel to Ireland together, which made designing this space even more meaningful.

At the heart of it, this room was built for gathering. A table set for celebration, surrounded by the colors that started it all.

Thank you to this client for trusting us with a space so personal. It’s one of our favorites.

If a place you call home has inspired a color story of your own, let’s talk about bringing it into your space. Comment “PROJECT” and we’ll send you the link to schedule a discovery call.
