We will be open for Gallery Night here in Valley Junction! Friday October 9th you’ll find featured artists throughout the district at participating galleries and shops from 5-8pm.

While we are not having a featured artist this fall, we will be open!
We are offering all Uranium glass at 20% off until we have room for Christmas goods! Let’s clear these shelves!

BONUS: we are featuring our favorite young entrepreneur with a small kiosk in front.
Good Night Stuffies and Stories will have vintage children’s books and not quite vintage Stuffies. Everything your kiddo needs for a good night!
Most of his inventory is $5 and he prefers cash.

You must stop by Friday for a visit and to peep the coolest kiosk in Valley Junction! Can’t wait to see you!

We’ve got some very loud and extremely dusty construction going on in the alley next to us, but our AC is working well and we are open!

Also, 63rd/1st is getting new blacktop. If you are coming from Des Moines, I recommend you use Grand Ave and go south from there, otherwise you’ll be blocked or forced to drive over fresh tar/oil.

Rifling through some old postcards, found a photo postcard of St Anthony’s Chapel, the “world’s smallest church” outside of Festina, IA. We drove by it several times when I was little. I think it’s between where my great grandfather’s farm was and Waukon, my mother and grandmother’s hometown.

Just now realizing that is only a couple miles north of where Doug grew up and there’s no way our paths did not cross when we were little.
