Michelle is an award winning luxury Interior Designer who has worked with corporate executives, entrepreneurs, professional athletes, screen writers, TV producers, & celebrities to create the homes of their dreams. From ocean front properties to desert getaways, she delights in taking her client’s visions for their spaces and refining and curating them (and throwing in a few surprises) to deliver

a finished product beyond their imaginations. Growing up in Ireland, Michelle can trace her love of design back to childhood weekends spent at her grandparents seaside cottage, which has been in her family for over 400 years. She loved exploring the homes idiosyncrasies, it’s hidden nooks and crannies and hearing the stories of its past (from the thatched roof to the numbers on the doors left behind from the days it served as a hotel). Erin Cottage gave her a real understanding of the value of one’s home and an appreciation of the historic details that give it character and charm. As a teenager, Michelle moved to Los Angeles and fell in love with the breezy indoor/outdoor lifestyle of Southern California. She readily embraced a casual beachy aesthetic and discovered a new appreciation for modern decor. Michelle’s design style is ever-evolving, but her years of living and traveling through Europe as well as her 30 years of Southern California living have really informed her love of mixing modern and classic styles.

When we designed our personal kitchen, I truly didn’t appreciate how these 3 items (plus a bonus) would really affect our day to day lives. If you’re planning a renovation, put these priorities at the top of your list.

1. A Convection Steam Oven: ok - I had to be convinced and it’s a splurge but this truly is the MVP of our kitchen. We use it every single day. From reviving leftovers to perfect roasts, it’s the one appliance we now try to convince all our clients to add.

2. All Lower Drawers: We ditched traditional lower cabinets for deep drawers. The ease of access for pots and (finally) organized Tupperware has been a game changer for our daily flow. We incorporate these into all our new kitchen designs.

3. The Island Addition: Islands don’t work in every kitchen space but when it does, they’re a game changer. We gained massive counter space. And it didn’t just give us more room to prep, but it actually made it easier to keep the kitchen clean and more functional for our busy family.

A bonus shout-out to the most used item in any kitchen - the sink. We replaced our old cast-iron split sink (can’t tell you how many coffee pots I broken on the divider) with a large under-mount workstation style. The amount of space it provided has been amazing and I love the ledge that allows me to add a cutting board and colander for meal prep.

Design is about beauty, but it’s how a room functions that makes you love it long after the reveal. Which of these would be your #1 priority? Let me know if the comments!👇

We are thrilled to officially announce that we are Regional Winners in the Kitchen Design Contest - for BOTH of our submissions!🥂✨
Out of the entire Southern California region, only 10 designs were selected. To be one of just 8 firms recognized - and to have both our Modern Mediterranean and our personal English Kitchen in that group- is a milestone we are so proud of.

The best part was the surprise reveal at the winner’s dinner, where we found our designs featured on the custom menus at our seat.

Now we wait for the National finalists to be announced in May!🤞 Until then, we’re celebrating this honor and the incredible teams that helped us bring these visions to life.

What do you think - are you Team Med Blue💙 or Team English Sage🌿?

We’ve been working on a lot of bathrooms this year…currently have 8 in different stages of design. It had me looking back at some past projects and noticing that we have some favorite details we come back to time and again.
As they say, the devil is in the details and we don’t overlook any of them. We want all our bathrooms to feel as good as they look. Even the grout colors are deeply considered. Do you have a favorite detail? If so, save this for your renovation mood board. 🛁

2026 is the year of “Modern Heritage,” but around here, we’ve always been drawn to the soul of traditional architecture - like these original oval windows and the classic silhouette of a 4 poster bed. By pairing these “heritage” elements with hand blocked textiles, curved nightstands, and an inviting palette of pale blue and terracotta, we created a room that feels storied, not stuffy.

They’re calling it “intelligent serenity” for 2026, but we’ve always called it a necessity.✨
While the design world is currently leaning into wellness-focused bedrooms, our primary suite was designed with these principles from day one. By prioritizing that lake view, integrating botanical greens & soothing tones, and using a canopy frame to create a “room within a room,” we built a sanctuary that doesn’t just look good - it lowers your cortisol the moment you walk in.

Who else agrees that a bedroom should be a dedicated space for mental rest?

You could just do another white bathroom.

Guest baths are the perfect spot to inject personality and character into your home. We chose this fun tile mix for our project because small spaces deserve a great story.

But what do you think? Would you be brave enough to go all in on color and pattern or do you prefer a classic white space?

Making laundry day a lot more joyful✨

From our ModernMed project, a laundry room that’s anything but a chore.

I’m a firm believer that your homes utility spaces deserve as much love and aesthetics as the kitchen ( swipe to see the dramatic “before” in this space).

For this room it was all about blending serious function with a sense of “hidden” luxury.

We started with this incredible patterned tile that just makes the room feel vibrant.

We paired it with a soft, timeless blue cabinetry - bringing that color thread through, but in a lighter palette.

We integrated paneled refrigerator and freezer drawers for the ultimate function in this upstairs space. Perfect for storing drinks & snacks nearby, and keeping medications or beauty products chilled.

We finished with a pretty marble countertop and that gorgeous bridge faucet to elevate the room.

It’s a space that proves “function” and “beauty” can go hand-in-hand.

What’s your ultimate utility-space splurge? We’d love to know!

Well hello there..😍This guest bath is all about making an entrance.

How do you create a “feminine vibe” without being too literal?

You start with a show-stopping marble arch and a warm, blush zellige-look tile. Then you add warm brass plumbing fixtures that will patina over time. Bring in some Mediterranean touches with a star and cross tile pattern on the floor and bronze hardware and iron sconces to tamp down the sweetness.

It’s been all about that intentional mix of materials in our project. Swipe to see all the details and check out the before pics. You won’t believe the difference!

Are you a fan of using colorful tile in the bathroom or do you prefer to play it safe with neutrals? Let me know in the comments.
