There’s nothing that compares to coming home to relax after a long day of holiday shopping— especially when your relaxation routine involves soaking in a tub like this one… brimming with bubbles 🫧, candles lit 🕯️and a drink in hand 🥂. A perfect respite for soothing the season’s craziness away.

There's nothing quite as festive as my vase full of pinecones and winter greenery. The look combines glam and traditional holiday décor, brightening up this corner of my kitchen.

Now that is a lifestyle, the key is maximizing organization while incorporating attractive pieces that are comfortable. The homeowner wanted to keep the well-made built-in bookcases and wainscoting for storage. By painting them a semi-gloss off-white and applying a dark stain on the hardwood floors, the room feels open and inviting. The pretty comes in via silk wallpaper that gives texture and softness to the glass and metal. Beautiful leather was also brought in to ground the entire room. This outdated family room, with oversized furniture, didn’t appeal to the family any longer. By removing the window grills, painting the walls, trim and boxing in the ceiling beams, we were able to present a cohesive palette. Now with ample seating and a clean design, the family can enjoy time together.

What a difference!

The challenge with this family room was to provide seating for a family of six, plus friends, while leaving the wall color in tact. By unifying the color palette through the furniture and adding softness to just one set of windows, the family room is ready for lounging and watching tv.

The open-concept kitchen of this pond-front estate flows seamlessly into the family room and incorporates the same beachy elements found throughout the home. Neutral tones, bright whites, oceanic blues, textural elements and mixed woods combine to make this the idea spot for entertaining.

In the principal bedroom of this Dover estate, special details can be found throughout the space and are mixed with fresh elements. A much-loved table filled with family photos sits side-by-side with two new soft blue chairs. A “cherry wood trunk made by the husband’s late father sits at the foot of a new canopy-free canopy bed selected to fit the scale of the high ceilings.” (quote from ). By combining old with new, we were able to remain true to the design’s inspirational theme of where old serenely blends with new world charm. Like its inspiration, this bedroom provides a tranquil haven.
