On Thursday, 10/09, we said goodbye to Ben — the founder, the spirit, and the wonderfully grumpy heart behind Grumpy Gnome Gardens.
Ben had a way of turning simple things into something magical. Every gnome he created carried a piece of him — his humor, his stubbornness, and the huge heart he tried to hide behind that gruff smile. He taught us that even the grumpiest faces can bring joy and that love can be shown in a thousand quiet ways — in the soil, the laughter, the late nights creating something beautiful.
He built a community that continues to grow because of his care and creativity. His gnomes live on as small reminders of him — each one holding a little bit of his soul.
He may have been a grump, but he loved deeply. And for that, we’ll forever be grateful.
Rest easy, Ben. Your gardens — and your gnomes — will keep telling your story 🧙❤️
