There's only one spot left in the Kimberbell Patriotic Parade class, and it's here waiting for you! These classes are a great way to try machine embroidery, and all materials are included. You don't even have to bring your embroidery machine, because you'll use ours!

This class is June 17 starting at 10 am. $149 includes everything you need to make a rocket table topper, three 3D flowers, and a slice of watermelon--everything you'll want for your 4th of July party centerpiece!

You'll want to bring a lunch and a small pair of trimming scissors. Call (262) 473-2049 or stop in to register.

Kari's will be closed Monday, May 25, for the Memorial Day holiday.

State shop hop is coming right up! From June 1-30th, Kari's will be open six days a week! Shop hop books are here if you want to start planning. This quilt will be available as a kit or as a free pattern.

Shop hours (June only) are Monday-Friday 10-5 and Saturday 9-4. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Looking for a fun centerpiece for your Independence Day table? Kimberbell has a class for that! Patriotic Parade is coming to Kari's on Wednesday, June 17. You'll make a flowers-and-rockets table topper, three 3D flowers, and a slice of watermelon! This is a great class for anyone interested in embroidery, even total beginners, AND you don't need an embroidery machine to participate because you'll be using Kari's classroom Brother machines.

All materials are included in your $149 class fee (even the little wooden table and red flower bucket). Class is from 10am-4pm. Call (262) 473-2049 to reserve your spot or stop in to see the finished projects!

We had a couple of cancellations, and now there's space available in the Elly Handbag class on Saturday, April 18 (9am-3pm)! This is a nice bag for a wide range of skill levels, and it's a great opportunity to learn about installing strap anchors and making recessed zippers! There's a small amount of homework for this class, but it's just cutting out rectangular pieces, so there's still lots of time to prepare.

There's still time to participate in our panel contest at Kari's! Pick a panel, add piecing to it, and bring it in for display by May 23rd! Quilts do not need to be quilted; finished tops are fine. Our customers during the June Wisconsin Shop Hop will vote to choose the winner of a Brother LB5500 Sewing/Embroidery machine!

Stop in to pick up a flyer that includes the rules for the contest and additional prizes. All fabrics used must be purchased at Kari's. Call (262) 473-2049 with any questions, and we look forward to seeing your panel ideas!

It's almost shop hop time again! The Shop Sisters Hop is coming next week, and we're ready to see you!

All participating shops will be open:
Thursday, March 26th, 10-5
Friday, March 27th, 10-5
Saturday, March 28th, 10-4

Each shop will have its own prize drawing, plus a grand prize and runner-up prize drawing for visiting all 7 shops! Stop in to pick up your map and grab some friends to come hopping.

Participating shops are Brick Street Yarn, Kari's Sew Unique, Loose Threads, Needles 'N Pins Yarn Shoppe, On the Bias Designs, The Quilt Patch, and Twin Turtle Quilts.

There's still time to sign up for a bag class this month! We'll be making the beginner-friendly Christy Crossbody bag next week, and there are still openings available for the Saturday, March 14 class. This class starts at 9 am and it's an excellent bag for learning how to make recessed zippers and adjustable straps! Plus, it has a welt pocket inside--that's a new technique we haven't done in bag class before!

Grab some friends, come pick up your supplies, and come sew with us! You'll be using our classroom machines, so no need to haul your sewing machine along, and you'll get to try the wonderful Janome HD9. This machine is a powerhouse for bag making!

There is a small amount of homework to complete before class, but it's all cutting rectangles. Class fee is $30. Call (262) 473-2049 to register. Kari's is open M-W 10-5 and Saturday 9-2.

If you've been wanting to try making a bag, this is the class for you! There's still space available in the Adeline Crossbody class next week, February 11 or 14. This class is a great chance to learn about zippers and hardware, plus it's an awesome opportunity to try sewing with faux leather! Even better, you'll get to sew on the Janome HD9--you don't have to bring your machine for a class at Kari's.

Only one more week until the Dairyland to the Dells shop hop starts! This hop will go the entire month of February. You'll get to visit 16 local Wisconsin quilt shops divided into two sections, and each shop will have a patriotic 12" finished block pattern with kits available for purchase! A portion of block kit sales will go to benefit the VA hospital in Madison.
