New Year. 🥂 New look. 💁‍♀️ New goals. ✅

We told y’all there would be a few changes coming up….aaaaaand, they’re here!! 🤗

Magpies isn’t going anywhere!! However, it is changing a little bit as you currently know it. We will still be renting out for small events, but our primary focus will be on providing a space for local artists/crafters/creatives to host workshops in and working to build up our gift boutique with local artist’s goods!! 🎁

We want to create a fun and inviting atmosphere where people can come together for a unique, social crafting experience!

We hope you are as excited about what’s to come in 2022 as we are!! The transition hasn’t completely taken place, but we are well into it and we wanted to get word out so we can start planning some fun events based on things you’re looking for and interested in!!

So, we are on the hunt for…. 👀

- local, handcrafted vendors looking for a space to sell their products in
- local artists/crafters/creatives looking for a fun and affordable space to host workshops in
- amazing residents of Wichita (and surrounding counties) that are looking for something fun, creative and different to do for a party, shower, girl’s night out, and more!!

Today!!! 11-7pm!! Stop by Magpie’s to make some F•R•I•E•N•D•S themed goodies!!

Today’s event is hosted by Francy Gill Turnbow and Marisa Hines. They’re serving up some essential oil infused coffee and spritzers along with roller balls, Smelly Cat Room Spray, Monica Clean Cleaning Spray and swag bags!! 💜💛

Oh! And of course, the yummy snacks!! I mean…who could pass up some of Ohoebe’s Grandmother’s Cookies?! 🍪

If you follow any kind of social media or have attended anything social in the last 1-2 years, you’ve probably noticed a super hot trend: food bars and charcuterie boards/grazing tables.

They’re such an artistic and fun way for friends and family to serve themselves at parties.

But...we’ve also had a little uninvited guest this past year...Rona. 🦠

I wanted to share some pictures of creative ways to still have snacks for a group of people but with much less cross-contamination. Consider serving everything in individual containers or sticking a toothpick in the snack. This will allow people to pick up and touch only what they are getting for themselves without there having to be a community spoon, spatula, or tongs!

What do you think? Would you be appreciative if the host took some extra time and provided snacks in this way? ❤️

All blocks can have additional hours added to them if needed for set up and clean up.
