For Fall 2024, interior design trends are anticipated to blend warmth, sustainability, and vintage accents. Here’s a rundown of some key trends to watch for:

1. Rich, Earthy Tones - Expect to see rich, soothing shades of green and blue that evoke a sense of calm and connection to nature. Warm browns and terracotta will also be a hit as they are inspired by autumn landscapes and will create cozy, inviting spaces.

Mood boards act as a vital starting point to discover which products, colors, finishes and textures look good together and give the look you desire.

If you have a vision in your head for the end result of your renovation, you can more easily see this brought to life for your own assurance and better communicate this the contractors completing the work with the help of a moldboard.

Think of this as a ‘try before you buy’ approach. Your mood board can help you work out what you do or don’t like before you spend a good chunk of change on something!

A few tips for working with contractors👇🏼

1️⃣ Know what you’re wanting & be specific. In our experience it usually works best if you already know what it is you want them to execute. Photos, 2D, and 3D renderings can be extremely helpful to make sure everyone is on the same page for your project.

2️⃣ Shop around. Make sure to do your research - ask your friends for referrals, check out google reviews, and client testimonials for different contractors before making a decision. Each contractor is different and will likely have a different bid amount, timeline, and way they operate - so be sure you have all the info before making your decision.

3️⃣ Keep records. Make sure to keep records of progress, payments, and changes to avoid any issues down the line. This is just a way to protect yourself and your investment!
