Some rooms want the view. Others want the dark.

Sheer shades let the light in and still frame what's outside. Shutters give you control over every angle of it. A lot of homes use both.

We bring the samples to your house, so you see them in your own light. Start with a free in-home design consultation with your local Louver Shop.

A window with nothing on it is a missed chance.

Window coverings help keep a room warmer in the colder months and cooler when it's warm. They also give you privacy after dark, and they finish a room the way a good rug or lamp does.

October is National Window Covering Safety Month, a good reminder that cords and little ones don't mix.

If you love blinds and you love shades, there are cordless options for you. They're a simple way to help keep your little ones safe.

We're happy to show you the cordless options in your own light, room by room.

A full Kansas kitchen in November means nobody has a free hand. Motorized shades handle the glare with one tap.

After the meal, everyone piles into the living room. Interior shutters tilt open for the last of the daylight or close for the movie.

Megan Turpin has run the Wichita shop since 2016, and Corbin spent years in real estate, so between them they've seen a lot of kitchens. They take care of homes in Wichita, Derby and Andover.

This October: Buy One, Get One 50% Off + 15 Months 0% Interest, through October 31. Schedule your complimentary design consultation. Send us a DM to get started.

The days are shorter. Your rooms can still feel warm. 🍂

So much of that cozy feeling comes down to light. Let the low fall sun pour in while you have it, then close up once it gets dark early and the house starts to cool off.

Window coverings help keep a room warmer in the colder months, so closing them at dusk is a small habit that adds up. Add a lamp instead of the big overhead light and the whole room softens.

Not sure what fits each room? Your local Louver Shop brings the whole showroom to your door, so you see every option in your own light.

The Kansas sky is big. So is the 4pm glare across the dining room.

Megan Turpin and her husband Corbin handle every consult and install in Wichita, Derby and Andover themselves. Megan taught fourth grade before this, and she still loves to teach. She'll walk you through which products are right for your home, because she cares about what's best for you. Her words: "We'd rather talk you out of the wrong window treatment than sell it to you."

Pumpkins on the porch, a skeleton by the front door. Shutters and shades are the fall decor that stays after the candy is gone. They soften the light as the evenings get darker, and they help keep a room warmer when the weather turns.
