Yes, Stella, there was a Streetcar Named Desire, and here she is making her last run today in 1948. That's conductor Henry Lacour in the photo doing the honors on Car No. 982's last run. The Desire Line ran through the French Quarter from Canal Street and down Bourbon Street to Desire Street in Ninth Ward, before looping back to Canal along Royal Street. “The big thing about Desire was that it ran the length of the French Quarter,” explains historian and author Ed Branley. “It was the streetcar that people who lived in the quarter used to go places.” Along the route, the streetcar would pass wihin half a block of what was at the time the residence of Tennessee Williams.

Let’s talk offices and workspaces! Recently, I heard a podcast discussing neuroaesthetics, the study of how our surroundings influence the way we think, feel, and function. One point that stuck with me was that those dark, clubby offices we often romanticize may not actually be the most conducive environments for creativity, productivity, or clear thinking.

It immediately made me think about my home office and how much I loved it, so I snapped a few pics and shared them in stories today. It’s not perfect, but it is filled with things that keep me inspired: stacks of books, mementos collected and inherited over the years, and of course, Stella stretched out on her daybed nearby. I love the reminders of where I’ve been, what I’m curious about, and what I’m working toward mixed in with just a small touch of functionality 😅

I’m curious, are you someone who thrives in a minimalist workspace, or do you prefer being surrounded by meaningful objects and collections?

A look at the artwork I’ve collected for my hallway gallery walls this week! They are all originals except for the Doberman playing chess, but it did come from Marshall’s with info about the artist. Who are we kidding though, I’m Stella obsessed 😆

This is bringing back memories of a piece of kitschy art I had when I first moved in (and oddly, in the hall). It was a holographic picture of a schnauzer that looked exactly like one I’d had named Topper. It was so fab! Had a Hollywood Regency style frame with a hidden light bulb. I eventually sold it in one of my booths but I will forever be on the lookout for another. Heading to eBay right now 🏃🏼‍♀️

Such an honor to share my thoughts in ’s article about selling vintage online! And fittingly, this month marks 14 years of doing exactly that 🍾🎂

I’ve learned some tips along the way, including that the difference is in how you tell the story so that what I’m selling connects with the right new steward. Selling vintage is such a fun experience and sharing beautiful things with others who love it just as much is so rewarding. Scan the code to read the full article!

Exciting news, a brand new vendor mall opens today in Starkville, Mississippi!

We got a preview on Sunday, and it’s exactly what Starkville has needed. I’m happy to be in it with a handful of vendors I know and admire, and to discover new ones. Having a spot in Starkville for customers to shop again is also so exciting and making me nostalgic for my GypsterVeil boutique days. I closed that shop in 2018 and since then have had booths in Oxford, Jackson, Tupelo, Hattiesburg, and West Point, so I’m excited to have a spot in town again. Feels familiar in the best way ❤️

Make plans to visit soon!

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being a vendor at the Beautiful Table Settings Bash in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and I’m still inspired!

Spending a few days surrounded by people who are so passionate about their art form was such a gift. From elaborate tablescapes, to the sweetest neighboring vendors, it was such an honor to spend a few days with such an inspiring community. The seminars were fabulous, and I even got to hear my floral design professor from over 20 years ago speak! I took along my Supper Club book and her sign again 💕 I picked up an extra autographed copy of this gorgeous book, so stay tuned for a giveaway!

I brought a selection of pieces from , and the Portmeirion was an absolute hit. I’d originally found out about this event through the Beautiful Table Settings (BTS) Facebook group, which has over 200k members! What an incredible community of creatives.

Vicksburg is such a lovely town full of history. Sadly, the only sightseeing I got to do this trip was eating 😆 If you love entertaining, tabletop design, or simply being inspired by beauty, make plans now for the next one in January 2027, I’ve already marked my calendar.

Merry Christmas, friends! It’s been a wonderful holiday season, but a true highlight was wandering the Christkindlmarkt in Cullman, Alabama full of lights, tradition, and old-world charm. I had no idea it was dog friendly or Stella would have been there with bells on celebrating her German heritage 🔔🐶🎅

My former classmate .cyndi is now a professor and was awarded a grant to study preservation , and lucky me got to go as student! It was such a cool experience seeing behind the scenes from the cellar to the cupola and all the rooms in between, including a sneak peek at George & Martha’s bedroom which has been restored and makes its debut next week!

Along with , we explored Williamsburg, DC, and Baltimore! It was a whirlwind trip where each day we walked miles and saw so much. It was so fun to site see with classmates and discuss all that we’ve learned over the last few years and made me wish we’d had more field trips together. I do plan on making some more in depth posts, but here are the highlights!
