We got restocks of both the popular, chunky (1.75-3 sts/inch) gauge Andeamo (wool/alpaca) as well as the sock weight, merino wool Huasco Paints yesterday. So whether you want to knit a quick hat on US11-15s or a shawl or scarf on US 3-4, we've got lots of bags and lots of colors to choose from!

Meet Ivy, the newest team member here. She's another great lab from Heather Hollow in Hardwick. Like Winnie was, Ivy is a retiring breeder that was looking for a new home in retirement. She is 6 years old, but has the energy and enthusiasm of a 1-2 year old! During this transition I have her here at the shop thursday- Saturday, but "fenced in" behind the register. So if you hear some panting (which she seems to do when excited), it is her, not me! And if you hear me praising a good behavior, I'm not talking to myself but Ivy!

RIT'I, a new yarn by Mirasol, arrived Monday and i put it on the website yesterday.
Its a lovely, light and soft alpaca blend that knits at a wide range of gauges, although I like it best at a bulky gauge of 3-3.5 sts/inch (US 10.5-11, or thereabouts!).
It features a textural tweed -so perfect for a simple pullover or cardigan where you need the yarn to be interesting. Chris is knitting up a shawl using it in combination with another new yarn for the fall, Loft ( which hasn't yet arrived). Here is her work in progress as well as a few swatches of colors available. 328 yds oer skein!

I still stock Eucalan wool wash but have also brought in this Vermont made wool wash and scour for raw wool! Come try it...

We have some new kits in stock as well as some small blending tools for you to play with color and we are also now stocking the wool felting Matt's in addition to the high density foam mats. Both Joany and I are knitting the same scarf pattern right now, but using different colorways. Thought you might be interested in seeing 2 takes on the same scarf! Both using Amitola long repeat merino-silk with VIP solid.
I kind of like the black, stained glass colorway better (that's joany's), but i already had a store model showing a colorful yarn with black, so I couldnt repeat that! Instead i chose colors that are different than the other store models (maroon) I have already!

Joany just finished knitting this Pukis Shawl ( pattern from Ravelry) using g Silk Gatden and Silk Gatden Solo. Ive seen it done using Urth Yarns too (Uneek and Harvest) and itsalso great. And if you prefer a finer gauge, you could use Amitola and VIP! We have lots of options available at the shop

As usual, I'm dithering back and forth about which clearance yarns to put aside for myself! Homestead Hearty - gorgeous 100% highland wool bulky gauge for a sweater for a brother? Or one of the bags of Road To China Light to knit a luxurious sweater for a sister? And there's still enough of a couple colors of the uber lovely &Make Aran (alpaca/merino) for a sweater too! I'm obviously thinking about fall/winter knits, but I am also drooling over the idea of putting aside some of the clearance cotton/linens -Brighton Beach , Summer Solstice Gradient or select colors of Zooey to weave with!!
Fortunately, my sister rational sister Joan is here to temper my yarn hoarding! Stop in today, PLEASE, and buy these yarns before they end up in my stash!!!
