So what did I learn from the furniture and design show in High Point NC? Trends are warming up! Green (pretty much any shade) remains a favorite! W**e, burgundy, plum raspberry and rust is catching on! Ochres are starting to flame! Warm whites and cream are still here. Warmer woods are coming in strong from caramel to espresso. White oak and lighter tones are hanging on yet. Grey is dead people. Grey is dead. ā ļø. Donāt ask me about painting your house grey. The answer is NO! We want more details! Contrasting piping in furniture, fringe, plaid, stripes, chintz and florals! Western remains a strong theme too! More detail, not less. Iām kind of a less is more person myself but I can show you how to make an impact without going āover the topā. More is truly not better š«£. Rattan, burled woods, stone - warm natural elements are everywhere. But always a touch of black. And games rooms are huge! Mahjong! Yup! Poker tables, foosball, shuffleboard etc etc. Dedicated games/play spaces are encouraged š.
