Who else feels like they’re just waiting on the world to change? Doesn’t it seem like things just keep getting crazier and crazier? 😵💫🫨 gotta find ways to block out the noise, and stay out of the rabbit holes of the internet! 😩
Here’s something you can try!🤣 I found a new recipe for sandwich loaves on TikTok ( ) and they’re AMAZING and so soft and fluffy! I put my own tiny spin on it!
Ingredients:
*Note: you can go by grams or cups but I’ve found using exact grams is the key! I doubled this recipe to make two loaves. Recipe below is for one loaf!
7g (1 packet) instant yeast
57g (2½ Tsp) honey
43g (3 Tosp) butter, melted and cooled
165g (3 cup) warm whole milk
60g (¼ cup) warm water
1 egg
9g (1½ tsp) salt
410g (3½ cups) bread flour
You can add egg wash and sea salt, gives it that pretzel like crust!
Directions:
*Note: You can do this all by hand or by mixer, if using mixer, use dough hook attachment
1. Melt butter and set aside to slightly cool. Once cooled, mix all wet ingredients together. *if using active yeast instead of instant, proof yeast with warm milk and honey for 10 min, or until foamy, then mix in rest of wet ingredients!
2. Add in flour gradually. Once it’s all combined into a soft dough, cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
3. Knead dough on medium speed, or by hand. Once it’s starting to become slightly firm, add in salt. Knead for another 3-4 minutes!
4. Cover dough and let rise for 1 hour.
5. After an hour or when dough is doubled in size, shape into loaf and set it in a greased bread pan. (Butter, PAM, whatever you desire) Cover and let rise for 30-45 min. At this point I like to set the bread pan on my stove while the oven preheats to get a little bit more of a rise! Once time is up, if desired, brush with egg wash and top with sea salt.
6. Bake for 25-30 min, then brush with butter, if desired! Let cool before slicing, and enjoy! 😊
