Whew! What a day! Beautiful weather in MN. We are getting ready for a big garage sale in a few weeks. We unloaded the craft trailer and moved things from the shed into the trailer for the sale.

Let’s just say I am really happy we are not doing craft shows anymore. We always had a lot of heavy display and our product was usually big or made from chunky wood. Just happy to not do that hard work anymore. When our kids were young, we would do about 30 shows a year. Plus work full time, do patterns, consign, wholesale, etc. Just don’t know how we did it all. Very grateful for those years.

Got all the craft show display wood into the shop so that I can use that up for our one boutique in the fall.

This old lady is tired (and sore)!

So my holiday brain as a creator is all confused!

This morning I packed away the little Easter finished product I had left. Then I took out the two bins of Easter decor for our house. Family coming on Friday and Saturday.

My brain said…”Easter is over with! Why are you taking this stuff out of the closet?!!!”

As a designer and maker, I need to be about 4 months in advance for the other makers and at least 2 months for the decorators. As far out as I design and make, I am always behind on my own decorating! Messes with the mind!

Anyone else feel that way?

As a maker, how early do you like to see items out for you to create with?

As a decorator, how early do you want to see items to oyrchase for the next season and holiday?

This signifies the end of 35 years of doing craft shows. Dan is taking apart our display and I will use the wood for crafts for boutiques and live FB sales. Our kids all grew up with doing “craft” shows. The word “craft” was said much like a swear word some times! But it was very good to us! This is the first year in 35 years not doing craft shows. Feels kinda good, actually!
