Lauren Heuer Design Modern Wooden Pet Portraits Hiya❤️ I'm Lauren, the humble artist, creating surrealistic wooden pet portraits for the modern home.

Also, I enjoy hand writing custom Ohio decor and pretty much representing Cleveland as much as possible. My true passion is Semi-realism. I love creating realistic paintings of foods and flowers that just pop against the dark wood stain. My creative story is a normal one. Small town girl who's bad with math, science and even gym decides that art is the only real thing to learn and get great at. 😂 That and astrology; ☀️🌛Sagittarius here 😉 so I'm an open book, unintentionally. Any who, I started off professionally painting fruits and flowers with typography before I ventured into Pet Portraits. So many people have asked over the years so I finally made it happen but with my own unique twist. I paint on wooden circle panels using house paints and other art materials I feel with add value and class to the art work. Honestly, I forget sometimes that I'm technically a "professional artist''. 😬

A quick Google search and anyone who sells a painting, photos, a story ect becomes a "professional".. The moment you decide this isn't a hobby or you literally do it as job... You are a professional and imposter syndrome sneaks in really quick.😅

Fun fact: not only am I a "professional" artist, I am also a "professional" photographer. I was an underwater photographer at Wild Water Kinqdom (used to be sea world) 💦 but trust me, the only photos I sold where candid shots of them trying not to drown while their friends pulled them under the water for a "fun photo" hahah. Still a really fun ass job, with great coworkers and horrible tan lines 10/10 would recommend!✨

Putting this reel together reminded me just now much can change in five vears. Not just the art, but the person behind it. 😅 ( I look like a baby in that last clip)

I truly am so grateful for every order, every kind message, every share, and every person who believed in me and my work. (when some days I really didn't believe in myself) You've helped turn a dream into a reality, and I don't take that for qranted, it really is a blessing that I sometimes forget about it.

Here's to celebrating progress, even when I feel like I'm actually the turtle in the hare race. Hahaha ✨ many thanks 🐢🐇

I used to be a sign artist many moons ago for nearly a decade. My hand writing isn't as amazing as my old co-workers are but I try 😅 I try because it's something I still enjoy and makes me feel like me... Adding details to things to make them feel more special, more unique. I love doing that for others 💕

One of my most favorite things about being an artist that works from home.... Is my little helpers 💕 Beatrice is my most needy kitten, she's a March pisces so iykyk

She just knows when I need a break from 5+ hours of hyper creative focus on the floor. ☺️ Does anyone else have a cat like that?
