When your wedding inspo is Wes Anderson, magical things happen ✨

We had full design creativity with this wedding and when you pair that with a *stellar* vendor team, the vision really comes to life!

The William Aiken House in Charleston was the perfect venue for this energetic palette. Guests were seated in three distinctly different rooms for dinner so we designed three different tablescapes, each unique to the space they were in. This was the main dining space– how dreamy!

Stay tuned this week to see all three room reveals and let us know which one is your favorite!

Bridal portraits are becoming more and more popular! While it’s virtually impossible to perfectly duplicate a bouquet, we can at least guarantee the color palette will be the same and we do our best to use at least a few of the same flower varieties in both bouquets to ensure consistency across all your photos.

For Brianna’s June portraits (first photo!), we intentionally created a smaller bouquet than planned for the big day, using locally grown flowers, and focusing on getting the colors right.

Fast forward to wedding day in August, we opted for a larger, more airy design, incorporating higher-end blooms like ranunculus and dahlias, and mixing in pops of creamy whites to coordinate with her muted bridesmaids bouquets.

So, how did we do?! Do you have a favorite bouquet? Let us know in the comments!

Whoops, it’s September and I’ve neglected our socials all summer 🤷‍♀️ but we have lots of beautiful events to catch you up on from spring and summer, and now heading into fall!

If you noticed we’ve been MIA for a minute, and maybe found yourself wondering “hmmm, what’s going on there? Is she still taking on events?”…

The truth is I just needed a break. It wasn’t an intentionally disconnected summer but more of a “writing social media captions is my least favorite task so let’s just ignore it for a minute…” and that turned into a full summer break.

Sometimes it feels silly to post when the world is on fire. Most of the time I overthink every word and every photo choice. The “pressure” to post every day and always have something to share stresses me out.

But Instagram has always been the place where I connect most with my clients, where a lot of my clients find me (and book me!), and the best way to showcase designs I’m proud of, so I owe it to myself to jump back in and keep sharing beauty, in hopes that maybe a photo of flowers will brighten someone’s day just a little.

So, here’s to jumping back in, thinking less, not posting every day, and writing whatever captions feel right at the time because who really cares what the caption says when you’re looking at pretty flowers anyway?

Stick around to see what we’ve been up to in 2025, and be kind to one another in the meantime 💕

The CAKE MEADOW 🎀

A funfetti cake surrounded by ranunculus is what my wedding cake dreams were made of and the team delivered! It was so elegant and so pretty, I wish it could just live in my kitchen for the rest of eternity.

I also made a custom cake plate for our first bite that we can use for anniversaries to come, paired with engraved gold cake forks from my grandparents, and my parents’ cake server from their wedding that made this table setup even sweeter ✨

Local Wilmington friends, you cannot go wrong with 🫶🏼

The tables ✨✨

When my husband asked me what my vision for the tables was, I think the words I used were: epic, lush, full of flowers, Italian garden, lots of fruit, and seashells.

The table design was one of my favorite things to come up with, but it was equally as challenging as it was enjoyable. I had *very* grand ideas at first, but I was working with a budget like everyone else and had to scale back some.

You might be thinking, “this version is scaled back?!” and my answer is that the end result was the perfect amount of abundance to completely transform the space (which is a carport if you haven’t figured that out yet!)

The FRUIT 🍊The COLORS 🍋‍🟩The FLOWERS 🍋The CANDLES 🥝 The SHELLS (yes, I found and handmade every oyster shell placecard, too)
Absolute perfection 👌

If you’re a bride looking for a table like this, here’s what was on each table:
1 main centerpiece compote flanked by 2 smaller compotes at the intersection of each table, 2 flower frog bowls, loose citrus and exotic fruits, and roughly 9 votives in a variety of styles and sizes on each 8’ rectangle banquet table.

A moment of silence for the ARCH ✨

Words can’t even describe how I feel about this arch! Margot and Ella made literal magic happen with this arch design and truly made my vision come to life better than I could have done myself– and I mean that from the bottom of my heart!

Margot even tucked in a handful of butterfly ranunculus on the side of the arch where I would be standing because she knows ranunculus are my favorite, and that’s true love right there 💕

Truly, the arch speaks for itself, and I have nothing else to add other than I wish it was the permanent entry to my house forever!
