Well…hello again.

I just realized my last post was September 6th.

Today is September 29th.

23 days without posting anything.

In case anyone was wondering where I went, I’m okay! I’ve just been busy working, living life, and apparently forgetting that social media exists.

A few little glimpses of what has been happening behind the scenes lately.

The algorithm wants consistency.

Me: disappears for 23 days. 😇

Anyway…I’m still here. 👋🏼

My complicated relationship with the algorithm continues. 😄

Welcome to the temporary Sira Nest NC Headquarters.

My studio is currently packed, so for the past few days, my dining table has become my packing station.

If you know me, you know that even when my products take over the entire table, everything still has to be neat and organized. Candles, soaps, boxes, bags, packing materials… somehow, everything still has its place.

Thankfully, we have another little table in the kitchen, otherwise we’d probably be eating dinner on the floor.

This is one of those parts of a handmade business you don’t always see. The finished product may look simple, but before it reaches you, there are a lot of little steps happening behind the scenes.

And every one of them passes through my hands. 🤍

Temporary headquarters. Very full table. Still no employees.

A little Labor Day behind the scenes. 💛

When you see a finished bar of soap, you see one little bar.

Behind it are the formulation, sourcing, testing, making, cutting, curing, wrapping, labeling, cleaning… and plenty of batches that never made it this far. 😅

There’s a lot of work behind handmade, and I’m grateful that this is work I get to do.

Today feels like a fitting day to share a little glimpse of the hands and hours behind it all.
