Here are some items that the exhibitors will be bringing to the Greater Boston Antiques Show this weekend at Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington MA. Saturday for 10 to 5 and Sunday from 11 to 3. Take Exit 33 off I-93. Faience Bordelieu, Paris Metro advertising tile design, c. 1925. Original gouache over graphite with design notes; 2-vol Set chronicling The Beatles early days in Hamburg. No. 199 of 250 signed by Beatle George Harrison; 19th c. Shaker fingered boxes, two Enfield NH Shaker pails, bittersweet basket, horsehair and wool dusters; A wonderful grouping of oriental rugs; a Gorham sterling tureen 12" x 7" x 7" date mark for 1901. Flowers, fruits, ribbons in relief. Weight 37.8 troy oz. Retailed by Shreve Crump and Low; a “Rare 8 1/2” Lion design Dedham Pottery plate; a Nelson Dawson ( British) 1859-1941. “Harvard at Dusk”. Color aquatint, 1920. Ed- 60 or fewer. Signed with pencil, l.r.; a circa 1725 chest on frame, and (not pictured) a Wallace Nutting chair that was given to his head colorist for a wedding gift, with appropriate documentation.

The Greater Boston Antiques Show & Sale will bring together over 60 dealers of fine antiques from 8 states eager to start the Holiday shopping season by presenting for sale quality antiques in almost every category, for the person looking for a different gift to the advanced collector looking to add wonderful items to their collections. This will be the premier antiques show in Greater Boston for early 18th, 19th, and early 20th century furniture, American and English, antique silver, wonderful jewelry, Americana, folk art, marine antiques, decoys, Staffordshire, Americana, Folk Art, early hearth equipment, fine glass and china, early soft paste, pottery, brass, copper, and pewter, quilts and other textiles, antiquarian books and prints, ephemera, antique tiles, oriental rugs, Canton, Dedham pottery, early ceramics, decorative arts, Asian art, Victoriana, early photographs, majolica, stoneware, paintings, Arts & Crafts era, Historical documents, toys, trains, coins, decorative accessories and more (See Pictures Below for examples of what dealers are bringing). There will be open booths as well as room setting booths. The show will be open to the public on Saturday, Dec 7, from 10 to 5 and on Sunday, Dec 8, from 11 to 4. The admission is $10 and is good for both days. If you come on Saturday, you can get a pass when you are leaving to return on Sunday. If you bring a copy of this Patch listing, you get $1.00 off the admission. There is free parking for 1000 cars and the Shriner’s will be providing the catering during the show. Our next antiques show is the Greater Boston Antiques Show & Sale at Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington, MA. The show will be held on Saturday, Dec 7, from 10 to 5 and on Sunday, Dec 8, from 11-4. We have 55 dealers from 8 states doing the antiques show. Stay tuned for future posts with pictures of some of the antiques they will be bringing. We are pleased to let everyone know about a new antiques show and an old concept that will be new again - the Connecticut River Valley Antiques & Historic Homes Show to be held on October 19 & 20 at the Haddam Elementary School in Haddam, CT. It is a joint effort by the Haddam Historical Society & Goosefare Antiques & Promotions. The main focus is the Antiques Show portion with 30 of New England's (and beyond) best antiques dealers in room settings, but with a focus on antiques that are affordable for antique enthusiasts, collectors, and for all the people buying and/or restoring beautiful homes in New England. In support of the Antiques Show, the historic homes portion will; include restorers and people in the restoration industry as well as lectures on how to restore historic homes and how to incorporate antiques into today's interior designs. Save the dates: Saturday, October 19 from 10 to 5 and Sunday, October 20, from 11 to 4. We already have 30 great antiques dealers signed up. More info coming soon.
