Windochine's Silk Ripple pineapple fiber and cocoon silk create a highly textural slubby shade for this residential music room. The pineapple fiber has a high tensile strength, though it seems frail and wispy. The filaments are derived from the crown foliage of the wild pineapple. The cocoon silk is created during the process of spinning silk and is sourced from degassed cocoon silk. Together the fibers are woven into luxurious soft fabrics, which we at Windochine fondly call 'our puffies'.
