It’s a Christmas tree in October? That means it’s Team MMA’s Annual Hats and Mittems Campaign for Mom’s House. We ask our families and the community to stop by during class and hang new hats, gloves, scarves on our tree. This ends on 11/10. We have done this 15 plus years and have donated well over 1000 items to the house. Help us this holiday season and keep someone warm.

TEAM MMA is teaming up with Windber School District to offer students in grades 6-12 free lessons 1 time per week. We train every Wednesday from 3-4 at our studio. It is FREE. To be a part you must just stop in your High School Office to sign up before attending.

Miller’s Martial Arts is giving back to the community with our Monthly FREE Women’s Self Defense Classes. We offer this class during the school year once per month. The class is the 3rd Tuesday each month from 7-745. Along with learning techniques this is a great workout for the evening. It is open to all women ages 13 and up. Now is your chance to pie an Instructor or SWAT Team Member of Millers Martial Arts this Saturday at our event Karate Canines and Cancer. Bids start at $25 and highest bid wins. If more than one person wants to pie an instructor, then highest bid is the price. A few years ago Master Jordan Miller had 8 pies in her face @ $100 a pie. Let's beat that record. Proceeds go to 2 great organizations. Bidding will be at 415 with pieing at 430 following Master Miller's Change Challenge Winner.

Miller’s Martial Arts Hosting Inaugural Block Party Benefit

Windber, PA -- TEAM MMA, located on 915 Graham Ave will be hosting an Inaugural Block Party Benefit on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

This event is an expansion of the Wings of Hope Cancer benefit that started in 2008 and ended in 2023. The event will include 3 food vendors serving coffee, lunch and dessert. There will be several acoustic acts performing throughout the day, vendors inside and out, basket raffle, special cookie and pet bandanna sales, martial arts demonstrations, fire baton twirlers, K9 Demonstration, and auctioning off instructors to be pied. Portions of the proceeds will go towards the Wings of Hope and Somerset County Humane Society.

Special guest and founder of Wings of Hope, Tina Honkus, will be in attendance selling her inspirational book. The 1st 150 people attending will receive a cancer sling bag sponsored by TEAM MMA and Ridge Prints and Graphics a veteran owned company.

Miller’s Martial Arts has raised $27, 470.19 since 2008 for the Wings of Hope.
