SPECIAL UPDATE
Change. Even when desired it can be hard and even when unexpected it can bring joy. If we are doing the work we are always changing, always growing. Our priorities change, our passions change and what we think of as meaningful work changes.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot in the last year and have felt an energy building inside me that I’ve felt before in my life and I knew it meant a big shift was coming. I’ve paid attention, sat with it, sifted through it and gained clarity and now I’m ready to move forward. There are a lot of private pieces that will be set into motion with this shift, but the public piece will be to close Hazel James Home at the end of May.
I am so very proud of what I built over the last six years and how my dream was supported by my husband Andy, my creative partner Kait, my family, countless friends and devoted customers. It has been a tremendous privilege to work with, to become friends with and to support the 100’s of small makers that give Hazel James Home its soul. ✨✨✨
I have learned so much about myself, about what community means and about what it takes to breathe life into a wish and nurture into reality. I have a new wish burning inside me now and I can’t wait to see it expand. I hope one or two of you reading this feel inspired to take big steps of your own and to keep creating, growing and reinventing yourself. Thank you all for being a part of this journey. xo Jory
