BEFORE → AFTER ✨

This bathroom got the FULL transformation—and when I say full, I mean we took it all the way down and started fresh!

We completely demoed the existing bathroom and reimagined the space from the ground up, giving it an entirely new look and feel. New finishes, new fixtures, new details, and a design that feels fresh, elevated, and intentional.

There’s something so satisfying about seeing a space go from what it was… to what we knew it could be!

Swipe to see where we started ➡️ because the before makes the after THAT much better!

SHERWIN WILLIAMS COLOR OF THE YEAR

Sherwin-Williams has announced their **2027 Color of the Year: Celery** — and I am LOVING it!

It’s fresh, earthy, soft, and brings just the right amount of color without overwhelming a space. I can already picture this beautiful green on cabinetry, built-ins, walls, and even tucked into smaller spaces for an unexpected pop of color.

As a designer, I love seeing warmer, nature-inspired colors continue to make their way into our homes—and Celery is definitely one I can’t wait to incorporate into upcoming projects!

Who’s ready to go green with me?

The meetings no one sees. 🤍

Yesterday, this was us—sitting on the floor, talking through the tile layout for one of our current projects.

Nothing staged. Nothing glamorous. Just a husband and wife having one of the hundreds of little conversations that happen behind the scenes of running a business together.

We both have opinions. We talk things through, problem-solve, and ultimately figure it out together.

There’s something really special about building a business—and a life—with the same person. These little meetings on bathroom floors are a pretty big part of our story!

Sometimes, one change in a room can make the biggest impact!

For this fireplace update, we removed the existing traditional mantel and gave it a cleaner, Craftsman-inspired look that feels much more at home in the space. The dated green tile surround was replaced with a beautiful quartz product—and the variation and warmth in this stone simply can’t be captured in a photo. It completely changed the feel of the room.

We added trim work above the mantel, gave everything a fresh coat of paint, and topped the mantel with a stained wood detail for another layer of warmth and character. Then our client added her finishing touches to make it feel like home.

And one of our favorite decisions? Taking down the TV.

Without a TV competing for attention above the mantel, the fireplace was able to become what it was meant to be—the focal point of the room. No major renovation. Just thoughtful changes to one area that made the entire space feel different.

People don't just hire an interior designer. They hire a person.

The woman behind Kendall Sharpe Designs is also a wife, a mom, a business owner, a coffee drinker, a creative, a problem solver, a planner, and someone who genuinely cares about the people who trust me with their homes.

Behind every mood board, every paint color, every renovation, and every late-night email is a real person who gets excited about your project, celebrates the wins with you, and works through the challenges right alongside you.

I'm not a big-box design company. I'm Kendall. And when you work with me, you're getting someone who treats your home with the same care and attention I'd want for my own.

So here's a little glimpse of the person behind the business. Thanks for being here, following along, and supporting this dream. 🤍

Kitchen Remodel FAQ: How long does a kitchen remodel take?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that a custom kitchen can be completed in just a 2-3 weeks. The reality? A well-designed, custom kitchen remodel typically takes: 6, 8, sometimes 12 weeks at a minimum** (2-4 months) once construction begins. Quality craftsmanship, proper scheduling, and attention to detail simply can't be rushed—and trust me, it's worth the wait.

If you're investing in your dream kitchen, don't settle for fast... settle for done right!

Choosing paint shouldn't feel overwhelming—but with thousands of colors to choose from, it's easy to get stuck.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that interior designers use every color in the fan deck. The truth? We don't.

Over the years, I've found colors that consistently work in real homes, and I come back to them time and time again.

My top 3 Sherwin-Williams favorites:
- Drift of Mist
- Misty
- Pure White

The best paint color isn't the trendiest one—it's the one that works best with **your** home. Save this post for your next paint project!

Having this information upfront allows me to determine if I'm the best designer for your project and ensures that, if we move forward, your in-home design consultation is focused, productive, and tailored specifically to you—not spent gathering basic information.

This guide will help you prepare so we can make the most of our time together and hit the ground running from day one.

POV: You're standing in a finished kitchen, but you're thinking about everything it took to get here.

Three kitchen remodels this year have taught me one thing: success in this industry isn't about avoiding challenges—it's about how you respond to them.

When something goes wrong, it's easy to point fingers. Instead, I've learned to ask myself, "What could I have done differently?" That question has made me a better designer, project manager, and business owner.

The more projects I complete, the more confident I become that Kendall Sharpe Designs will continue to grow—not because we're perfect, but because we listen. We listen to our clients, communicate through the hard moments, and never stop learning.

Beautiful kitchens are created through great design. Exceptional remodeling experiences are created through trust, communication, and putting the client first.

Before the finished paint, the styling, and the reveal... there's this.

There's sawdust everywhere, tools scattered across the floor, measurements being checked for the hundredth time, and a whole lot of hard work happening behind the scenes.

I love sharing the beautiful "after" photos, but I also think it's important to show the process. Every custom built-in starts as lumber, a vision, and someone willing to put in the work to bring it to life.

This is one of my favorite parts—watching an idea on paper slowly become something built by hand.

The pretty reveal is coming soon, but for now... here's a little glimpse of the work that happens before the magic. 🛠️✨
