For this powder bath, we layered playful wallpaper, warm wood tones, unlacquered brass, and detailed millwork to create a space that feels both timeless and full of personality. One of my favorite details is the fluted vanity - subtle texture that adds so much warmth and character.

I’ve always believed powder baths are one of the best places to take a design risk and create a moment that feels a little unexpected 🤍

Sometimes a full renovation isn’t necessary to completely transform the feel of a space. In this kitchen, we focused on thoughtful updates that made a huge impact: new countertops, a zellige backsplash tile, a custom hood, painted cabinetry, updated hardware and plumbing fixtures, and a custom bench seat cushion to bring warmth and personality back into the space.

The result feels lighter, more elevated, and far more reflective of the family who lives here…proof that even smaller, intentional changes can completely breathe new life into a home 🤍

A dream we’ve quietly held for so long is finally a reality…Kardinia now has a permanent home of its own - a 1925 historic residence filled with the charm, character, and timeless details we’re so deeply drawn to and the very elements we strive to infuse into each of our projects. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew this was something special.

Over the coming months, our new studio will undergo a top-to-bottom renovation in true Kardinia style, thoughtfully reimagined with layered materials, bespoke details, and a collected, timeless feel. What makes this even more meaningful is that our entire design team will have a hand in shaping it, from finishes to furnishings, bringing together the perspectives and creativity of the women behind Kardinia.

Just a short drive from our current studio, this space will become more than just an office. It will be a place to gather, to create, to collaborate, and to welcome our clients, contractors, and vendors into the heart of what we do.

We are so incredibly excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to share the renovation journey that begins now 🤍

Behind every presentation, every installation, every set of plans, every sourcing trip, and every finished home is a team working tirelessly together - brainstorming, problem solving, refining details, supporting one another, and pouring so much care into the work we do.

Building or remodeling a home can feel overwhelming at times, and our goal is always to make it feel exciting, seamless, and well supported from beginning to end.

Still pinching ourselves…Kardinia is officially a Florida Design Magazine Seaglass Award winner for Best Use of Interior Tile 🎉

And to think…this all started with a client trusting us when we said, “what if we tiled the ceiling too?”

That’s the beautiful part about design - the magic often lives in the unexpected details and the moments where clients fully trust the vision and allow us to push creativity a little further.

This kitchen was such a special collaboration, and winning this award feels incredibly meaningful because it represents exactly the kind of work we love most: thoughtful, layered, deeply intentional spaces that feel both elevated and personal.

So grateful to our amazing clients for trusting us, to our incredible team for pouring so much heart into every detail, and to everyone who continues to support this little business of mine 🤍

Our Design Director, Alli, weighs in on the design details clients are asking for lately and the ones she’s especially excited about.

She’s seeing a shift toward more intentional color, greater variety, and spaces that feel layered, playful, and full of personality. Clients are becoming more open to mixing finishes and styles, incorporating vintage and thrifted pieces, and creating homes that feel collected over time rather than perfectly matched.

From richly veined stone and statement lighting to handcrafted finishes and one-of-a-kind finds, there’s a clear move toward interiors that feel deeply personal and truly lived in. And honestly, we couldn’t love it more 🤍

Still one of my favorite dining rooms to date…layered, timeless, and filled with pieces that tell a story (and styled with dishes I brought home from Florence).

I’ve always believed the most beautiful homes are the ones that are filled with memories from travels, meaningful objects, and details that mean something to the people who live there 🤍
