I lean toward light colors, mixing neutrals with earthy materials--burlap, distressed furniture--contrasted with more refined materials such as cherry/mohogany, mirror, crystal, and glass...often with a touch of a coastal feel. ce. I like the end result to be a home that feels like it has been a collection of furnishings over time, rather than bought off the page of a catalog. My exterior style tends to lean toward classical, bordering on formal, with an overall consistent design and flow. This would include hedges, flower gardens, and focal points in interesting places...and old urn, a statue, a path, and soft landscape lighting. I love to refinish old furniture, add new knobs, paint it, distress it, do something to make it stand out.
