Polished Escargot

Directions

Polished Escargot -by Athena 🐌 I meticulously bend each vintage, silver plated fork to create these beautiful snails. No two are identical, as each are hand made.

I love giving discarded heirlooms a brand-new life as a plant charm, or shelf sitter.

Origin of Polished Escargot 🐌

In November of 2025, I was involved in a car accident, that was not my fault. I was rear ended at a stop light. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and had several injuries. I have had to have 2 surgeries, so far, and have been in physical therapy since then. Due to my tight work schedule, I don’t get to attend PT as often as I’d like. So-I started making snails, as a way to keep my hands moving and help myself potentially heal. The motions it takes to build a snail are similar to those exercises, except I really enjoy the snails. 🐌😬 Thought I would give my backstory as not everyone knows me. 🫶🏼
