Finishing Trades Institute of the Upper Midwest is an amazing school for the trades! Their students work on these mini houses & I just couldnt resist! With the help of my girls, Lisa Ketterling & Brenda Steffen , we finished every inch of one in time for our Fine Finish Expo! Lots of the finishes, I taught in my 1st class today! Here is what I'm up to this week!!! Finishing Trades Institute of the Upper Midwest is an amazing facility in Little Canada, (Minneapolis),
Minnesota. It us a training center for wallpaper hangers, painters, drywallers, etc...They are sharing their space with us next week for PlasterCenter's . They teach skills on these fun 8 foot square foot mini homes. So... I am completely finishing one of their mini homes with the finishes i am teaching next week! So much fun and what a great group, staff & students, to be working with! Back at it in the morning, keep following....oh, and yes, I have a couple seats empty in my Wednesday class & Thursday class. Some of the best finishes happen when you are free to experiment. Our favorite artist day is
Creative Studio Day, which is an open studio play day hosted by Mave Alft and Lisa Ketterling. There is no set project and no fixed recipe, You choose the plasters, colors, tools, and designs you want to explore, and Mave and Lisa are there the whole day with guidance, recipes, and inspiration when you want it. October 8th, 9am-5pm, Minneapolis
HOW IT WORKS
⁃ You set the agenda: bring the ideas, techniques, or finishes you have been wanting to try
⁃ Work at your own pace throughout the day ⁃ Ask for a recipe, a demonstration, or second opinion whenever you need one ⁃ Trade ideas with a room full of working finishers doing the same info. Register NOW! idal.org/workshops
contact Mave 715 340-3035 for more info!
