How do I make a hand-dyed yarn look knit up the way I want it to look?

Drawing on my expertise learned from Lorna M Designs color book, I was able to help her figure out how to pay out the yarn so it color stacked and come up with some solutions to get the desired result for her scarf.

This is the type of work I do for Yarn Crafters Boutique in the Thursday afternoon sessions and virtually through my knitting coach sessions.

Something truly unique is blowing into Noble County this September!

As part of the America250 cultural program celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, Dutch designer Merel Karhof will bring her Wind Knitting Factory to the Mid-America Windmill Museum.

During this special presentation, visitors can see Karhof’s innovative, wind-powered knitting machine in action as she creates scarves inspired by the colors of the American landscape. 🧶🌾🌬️

The project connects two windmill traditions—the Netherlands and the United States—through art, design, and innovation. The Wind Knitting Factory is inspired by the principle of the American windmill, invented by Daniel Halladay.

Karhof will travel throughout the United States, visiting historic windmills, museums, and cultural institutions, demonstrating how the power of wind can be transformed into something creative and unexpected.

✨ Come experience this one-of-a-kind intersection of history, art, innovation, and windmill culture right here in Noble County!

As many of you know, renovations are underway at Crafter's Boutique as we create a beautiful new crafting space complete with a cozy Yarn Lounge where makers can gather, stitch, create, and connect.

As I look ahead to fall and winter, I'm busy putting together a catalog of classes, workshops, social events, and creative gatherings—and I'd love your input!
